Chapter 262 - Chapter 261: Full of Aura

"Boss Qi, are the people in the United States so rude? They didn't even invite us in to sit down!" Seeing Mrs. Philemon hang up the TV, a woman who looked younger than her and had been standing behind her spoke with an unhappy expression.

Hearing the girl's words, the woman in front chuckled. "You don't understand. The people in the United States take their private property very seriously. If there's no search warrant, they won't let you in, not even the police. And if the police dare to enter, they can shoot in self-defense."

Compared to the assistant behind her, the woman in front clearly knew more. After all, she had been here for many years.

"Barbaric country." Hearing the woman mention that even the police could be shot at, the assistant muttered under her breath. Such things had never been heard of in China. Were the police in China so easy to mess with?

Seeing the girl behind her finally fall silent, the woman in front couldn't help but laugh.

In fact, what she had said was a bit of an exaggeration. If the United States were truly lawless, so many people wouldn't try to enter the country every year. It wasn't so easy to get along here.

After waiting for about five minutes, a large four-wheeled motorcycle that could seat four people drove up to the door.

As the door opened, O'Connor-Murphy, who clearly had the typical features of a German, appeared in front of the two women.

"Hello, are you looking for the boss? Get in the car." O'Connor-Murphy said calmly as he looked at the two women.

"Wow, the white uncle is so handsome." The assistant's eyes lit up upon hearing his words. It seemed that young girls like her were particularly fond of mature men like him. She couldn't help but murmur to herself.

"Sorry to bother you." Luckily, the assistant spoke in Chinese, so the white man couldn't understand. After the woman standing in front kicked her, she switched to fluent English and then the two women loaded their luggage onto the four-wheeled vehicle.

O'Connor-Murphy then drove the vehicle, taking them toward a distant beach.

Along the way, the two women in the car kept gazing at the scenery. They had to admit that the view at Jiang Hai Manor was indeed beautiful. If captured with a high-resolution camera, the landscape could easily serve as a desktop wallpaper without needing any editing.

The blue sky, white clouds, the vast blue sea, neatly arranged villas, small cottages, herds of cattle and sheep in the distance, and the woods on the edge — such a scene was nothing short of a painting.

"This Jiang Hai really knows how to enjoy himself. No wonder he doesn't want to go back to China," the assistant muttered under her breath as she looked at the scene. The woman next to her nodded in agreement.

Now, she understood Jiang Hai a little better. Such a beautiful place was indeed much more comfortable than staying in China.

However, as the four-wheeled motorcycle kept moving, the faces of the two women, who had been admiring the scenery, gradually changed.

The assistant nudged the woman next to her with her elbow and whispered, "Boss Qi, does this whole area belong to Jiang Hai?"

"Maybe..." The woman wasn't sure. She had heard that Jiang Hai's territory was extensive, but she hadn't realized just how vast it was.

Just when they were wondering about the size of Jiang Hai's manor, they finally reached the end of the area. The endless grassland they had been passing through gave way to the blue ocean in the distance and the golden beach next to it. In the middle of the beach and the ocean was a large pier, with several houses and numerous ships of all sizes—big ships, small boats, fishing vessels, and more.

As they were still a few dozen meters away from the pier, O'Connor-Murphy, who was driving, slowed down and shouted toward the small houses at the pier, "Hey, Edward, is the boss still there?"

Perhaps he heard his voice, as a strong man emerged from one of the buildings. When he saw the three people, he was slightly surprised. "Hey, O'Connor, the boss is still here. Who's with you?"

"They're the boss's friends from China. I brought them here first." After responding to Edward, O'Connor-Murphy accelerated, driving them to the other side of the beach. After about five minutes, figures and lounge chairs on the shore came into view. Hearing the sound of the motorcycle, Jiang Hai couldn't help but approach.

However, when he saw who was on the motorcycle, he was taken aback. He wasn't surprised by O'Connor-Murphy's arrival, but he was surprised to see the two women behind him.

By the time Jiang Hai was still processing the surprise, the two women had already dismounted from the vehicle and walked over.

When they saw the scene on the beach, both women's expressions became a little strange.

The assistant looked uneasy, and the woman's face, which was already pale, seemed to grow even more so.

As Jiang Hai stood up to greet them, O'Connor slowed down in front of him.

"Boss, they said they're your friends from China, so I brought them here first." O'Connor-Murphy, ever the meticulous German, also noticed something was off. Had he brought the wrong people?

But since they were already here, he could only awkwardly speak to Jiang Hai.

However, upon hearing his words, Jiang Hai's expression grew even more puzzled. "Friends? I thought we'd be enemies when we met again!"

"I don't make enemies easily," the woman said casually as she and her assistant walked toward Jiang Hai. "Seems like you didn't take my words seriously. You're still having so much fun."

The woman, as most of you probably guessed by now, was none other than Qi Li, General Qi. Yes, the woman who stood before Jiang Hai was Qi Li, the most controversial figure he knew, accompanied by her assistant.

"Are you here for something?" Jiang Hai asked, confused, as he noticed Qi Li's eyes dart past him and focus on the women who were playing nearby. He really didn't think he and Qi Li were friends anymore.

After all, on New Year's Day, they had a major falling out, and Jiang Hai had made his stance clear: he was determined to divorce her, even if it meant giving up half of his manor.

"I came to talk to you. What? Are you not welcoming me, or do you really plan to give me half of your manor? I took a look when I arrived, and your place is pretty big," Qi Li said with a smile, glancing at Jiang Hai before turning to thank O'Connor-Murphy in English. She then ignored her luggage and walked past Jiang Hai, heading toward a lounge chair by the shore.

Her assistant followed right behind her, while the German man stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do.

"I know them, they're my friends. As for their luggage, put it in my villa first, and we'll figure it out later," Jiang Hai said with a smile, seeing O'Connor's confused look.

Though the German man didn't say it, it was obvious he felt a little awkward. He didn't know the history between Jiang Hai and Qi Li.

At Jiang Hai's words, O'Connor-Murphy immediately turned and headed toward the villa with the two women's luggage.

Meanwhile, Qi Li and her assistant walked straight to the lounge chairs. They picked two chairs and sat down, but they had chosen the exact same chairs where Pra Walton and Selena Gomez had been sitting.

Selena didn't mind. Despite rising to fame at a young age, she wasn't possessive about the chair she sat in. But Pra Walton raised an eyebrow. Although she appeared innocent, those who knew her well understood that she wasn't just some sweet and naive woman. After all, she had managed to become president of Walmart Sam's Club despite being the least favored daughter in the Walton family.

The moment she saw Qi Li, Pra Walton sensed something was off. It was as if a tiger had wandered into her territory. And Pra Walton wasn't the type to retreat. In fact, she was more ferocious than any tiger.

Seeing Qi Li and her assistant settle into their seats, Pra Walton couldn't help but smirk before walking over.

At the same time, Jiang Hai also approached the two women and stood in front of them.

"Tell me, what brings you here this time?" Every time Jiang Hai saw Qi Li, it was hard for him to maintain his composure.

"Can't I come to you for no reason?" Qi Li raised an eyebrow, her slender brows arching.

"Don't say useless things…" Jiang Hai was starting to grow impatient.

"Hey, Jiang, another guest?" Pra Walton's voice suddenly interrupted.
