"Sauron, what should we do? That boat is sailing!" In fact, not only was Jiang Hai extremely nervous at this moment, but the people on the boat were even more anxious. As they saw Jiang Hai's boat sailing, a man in the cabin of their boat shouted nervously.
"I know, I'm not blind," the bearded man steering the boat snapped back sharply at the man beside him.
He then cast a glance at his hold, noticing the fifty or sixty people crowded into the small space. The hold, barely ten meters long, was filled with men, women, old and young. Their clothes were filthy and disheveled, and the air was thick with a sour smell. As the bearded man looked over, many of the people instinctively recoiled, and the children clung to their relatives, staring at him in fear.
"Hey, bitch, go find a way to stop that boat," the bearded man said, clearly pleased with the fear he had instilled. He then turned and looked at a woman who had been sitting quietly in the corner.
The woman, unlike the others, seemed unfazed by his gaze. The bearded man, though intimidating to most, seemed hesitant when his eyes met hers.
The woman appeared to be of European descent, with fair skin and long golden hair, about 25 or 26 years old. She had a ponytail, a slim figure, and was dressed in a beige military uniform. Along with a pistol at her side, two more hung from her legs. She sat calmly, unfazed by the bearded man's words. After a moment's pause, she looked at him and replied, "Why should I help you?"
Her voice carried a strange accent, and as she spoke, the temperature in the hold seemed to drop several degrees. The children tightened their grip on their parents, sensing something dangerous.
"You're not helping me, you're helping yourself and these people. You know exactly what you are. If the US government finds you, you'll be sent back where you came from!" The bearded man's tone was serious as he stared at her.
Hearing his words, the woman lowered her head as if considering his offer. After a brief moment, she stood up, grabbed a rope from the hold beside her, and slung it over her shoulder.
Seeing her stand and pick up the rope, Sauron couldn't help but laugh. He quickly returned to the cabin and took control of the boat, steering it toward Jiang Hai's yacht.
Jiang Hai, noticing the other boat's actions, frowned. He realized these people were targeting him. His yacht, while not large, was still a medium-sized vessel, much more substantial than the small boat pursuing him. Despite his efforts, the turning speed of his yacht was slower, and the smaller boat quickly closed in.
The two boats collided, the harsh screech of metal grinding against metal filled the air.
"Who the hell! Get in the cabin!" Jiang Hai shouted angrily. His yacht, which had survived countless journeys without a scratch, now bore a mark. Clearly, the other boat was coming for him. Furious, Jiang Hai yelled at the three women on board, urging them to head below deck. As they ran, Jiang Hai tilted his boat's bow, deliberately steering into the other vessel. The smaller boat rocked violently, like a lightweight pushed aside by a heavy object.
In the hold, the passengers screamed and held on to anything they could. Sauron in the cabin, too, was shaken and sweating, cursing in his mind. "These Americans really don't care about the consequences! If this were in Europe, no one would dare do this!"
However, his frustration was short-lived. The woman had managed to hook the harpoon of Jiang Hai's yacht with her rope and was now climbing up.
"Didn't expect her to be useful," Sauron muttered, watching with amusement. As the boat veered off to avoid another collision, he followed Jiang Hai's yacht, keeping close behind.
The waves from Jiang Hai's yacht caused the small boat to rock back and forth, but it stayed tightly in pursuit. Sauron was confident; after all, this wasn't just any boat—it was a yacht. Whoever owned such a vessel was no ordinary person. Since they had crossed paths, he wasn't about to let the opportunity slip by.
Meanwhile, Jiang Hai, realizing that his boat's movements weren't enough to shake off the pursuers, decided to use his hidden abilities. Setting the boat on autopilot toward his dock, he hurried to the deck, holding a piece of beef infused with spiritual energy. He tossed it into the sea, hoping to summon Dasha.
But just as he did, Jiang Hai's sixth sense tingled—he was locked onto.
Reacting instantly, Jiang Hai dodged, falling backward just as a gunshot rang out.
"Bang!" The bullet flew past, missing him by mere inches and embedding itself in the deck. Had he not moved, it would have pierced his leg.
"Who the hell?!" Jiang Hai yelled, quickly springing up and rolling to the side. As he did, he spotted the woman who had fired the shot, her gun still in hand.
"He actually dodged it! Humph!" The woman was surprised by Jiang Hai's quick reflexes but didn't hesitate. She knew guns were common in the US, and while she was confident in her abilities, she wouldn't take any chances.
With a gun in hand, she rushed after Jiang Hai, but just as she rounded the corner, a massive swimming ring flew toward her chest.
This wasn't a typical swimming ring; it was large, thick, and heavy. If it hit her, it would certainly hurt. She instinctively ducked, but as she did, Jiang Hai, with swift precision, slid past her and kicked her wrist, sending the gun flying into the sea.
But the woman was quick to react. She elbowed Jiang Hai with the intent to strike a vulnerable area. If the blow connected, it would incapacitate him.
Jiang Hai, however, was faster. He avoided the strike by pushing off the wall and countered with a kick. The woman, though skilled, dodged the kick and quickly pivoted, now holding two knives. In less than a second, she was ready to strike again.
"Not bad," Jiang Hai muttered as he sized up his opponent. He wasn't worried—he knew that in close combat, he had the upper hand.
"Death," the woman replied flatly, unperturbed.
With a quick step, she lunged at him, her knives forming an X as they slashed toward his head. If they landed, it would be a fatal blow.
But Jiang Hai wasn't easy to defeat. He fell back, kicking the woman in the chest. She, however, quickly retracted her blades to deflect the kick.
Jiang Hai grinned. He wasn't done yet. He swung his leg again, this time with more force, aiming for her. Though the woman blocked the attack with her hand, Jiang Hai's strength was undeniable.
