Genevieve was silent for a long while and just when Stefan was beginning to think she wasn't going to respond, she sighed, "I can't."
"You already said you don't have to. It's okay if you can't talk about it."
"I mean I can't be in a relationship. I don't know how to be in a relationship," she admitted quietly.
Stefan's brows pulled together, "I don't think I understand what you mean."
Genevieve bit her lower lip as she considered whether or not she wanted to tell him the truth. And then figuring that he knew a little about her embarrassing past already she decided to be honest.
