The air inside my office was thick with the scent of freshly brewed coffee and lavender-scented candles, but none of it masked the tension that had just stormed in.
Sebastian.
The door had barely shut behind him before a stack of papers landed on my desk with a loud thud.
"I informed you that you had a contract to sign on Wednesday," he seethed, his tone laced with irritation. "Today is Friday, and you're just showing up. Who do you think you are?"
I leaned back in my chair, crossing my legs leisurely. His anger didn't faze me, it amused me.
Lifting my gaze to meet his, I let a slow, mocking smile stretch across my lips.
"I forgot."
Sebastian let out a dry, humorless laugh, running a hand through his neatly styled hair before shooting me a glare. "Whatever. This is the company you'll be working with. Sign it."
He shoved a sleek black pen toward me, his fingers tightening into fists at his sides.
