Beta Zander Perez - POV
"Where is she, Zander?" Adam asked me as he impatiently tapped his foot on the pavement. We had been waiting in front of this cafe for the past hour, and there was no sign of Heather, and neither was she answering her phone as well.
"She said that she would meet us here, Adam," I told him when I tried dialing her number again, but it went straight to voice mail.
"Call Lucas and see if she is in the pack," Adam said and I nodded my head and did as he told me.
"Hello."
"Hi, Lucas, is Heather in the pack?"
"I am not sure. Give me a minute, let me check."
"Sure," I said when he put me on hold.
"Zander."
"Yes."
"Well, she isn't in the pack. My father had an emergency meeting with an alpha in Italy, and they had just left the country an hour ago." this news made the hope within me shatter.
"When will they return?"
