Mr. Boom stares down at Éclair, who isn't backing down. "Last chance, kid." He threatens.
Éclair doesn't budge, though. Mr. Boom sighs, then snaps his fingers, sending a booming thunder wave at her and sending her flying into the bushes.
Mr. Boom shakes his head and pulls out a lightbulb. He waves it around until the lightbulb lights up, and he has a direction for where Streak is. As he turns that way, he sees Éclair back on her feet.
Sighing again, Mr. Boom turns to her. "Look, kid, you have heart and bravery, but I didn't wake up to kill a brat today. I will, but it won't sit right with me. Leave me alone, and I promise you will get to live… Until they tell me to kill you. Which, hopefully, is in your 40s or something."
Éclair stands there, anger in her eyes as she takes rumbling steps towards Mr. Boom.
"Whatever." Mr. Boom says as he walks to meet the little girl.
Éclair plants her feet, and with all her might, she shouts, "LEAVE US ALONE!" Instantly, the winds of a hurricane mixed with a tornado come blasting out of her mouth.
Mr. Boom claps his hands in defense, but his thunderous clap doesn't compare to the strength behind the disaster coming out of Eclair's mouth.
Mr. Boom fights as best as he can, but it's too much for him, and he is sent flying, along with the whole side of the forest he was standing on.
Cordayl and Streak stand across from each other. Cordayl is actually having to control his breathing. Usually, when he fights, it's a slugfest. Using his strength isn't a problem since he is always holding back against most opponents.
But against Streak, it's a matter of speed. This forces him to react and anticipate to a level he hasn't had to in order to keep up with his opponent, and it's taking a toll on him faster than anticipated.
Streak is also wearing down, breathing hard but enjoying the fight. "You aren't tired yet, are you?" He teases
"Not even close," Cordayl tells him as the two jump back into their high speed bout. Cordayl is distracted by a random lightning bolt summoned by Streak, and as he avoids it, Streak dives in to land a blow to Cordayl's side.
Cordayl sees it a little too late, and as he spins to land a successful back fist to the face of Streak, Streak manages to land his blow, too.
Streak goes flying and rolling across the terrain before he quickly jumps back to his feet, and Cordayl goes skidding to a halt. The two stare at each other with nothing but the intention to kill when suddenly they hear a massive explosion in the forest.
"Hope you got to say your goodbyes. Sounds like Mr. Boom's patience has run out." Streak smirks.
Cordayl's eyes tighten with rage as he hears Streak taunt him. "I'll be right back," Streak mocks. "Better hurry up if you want a piece of her to be buried with you."
Cordayl roars as he dives back into the fight. Moving faster and faster, Cordayl starts to overcome Streak, eventually outspeeding him and beating the hell out of him.
Cordayl is on top of Streak, repeatedly pushing his face in, when he hears another boom in the background.
Holding his punch while staring toward the sound, Streak starts to laugh. "Looks like another one of your friends is about to die. Man, I swear death hangs around you like a necktie. I wonder how long that little girl would have lived had she never met a sour soul like yours. Guess we'll never kn-". Cordayl punches him in the face right before he hears the sound of another boom.
Cordayl knows he has no more time to waste and races off to get to Éclair as fast as he can.
"Like hell this is over." Streak grimaces through his swollen face as he races to stop Cordayl.
Cordayl races at full speed to get to Éclair, but Streak interferes as best he can.
Cordayl has to dodge, react, and counter Streak, who is moving faster than ever, all at once, while still making his way to Éclair.
No matter how hard Cordayl hits him, Streak refuses to end their fight, bouncing back again and again to slow Cordayl down as much as possible.
Streak trips Cordayl, who skids through the forest at full speed and then pounces on him. Cordayl kicks him off and quickly gets up, catching up to Streak and punching him out of the scene.
Finally, in the clear, Cordayl burst into the clearing to see Éclair get uppercutted in the chest and sent flying right at him.
Mr. Boom pushes himself up through all the wreckage and angrily stands to go knock Éclair out.
Éclair has her hands over her mouth; she pulls it away and sees a little blood. Hearing Mr. Boom walk back into the area, she quickly wipes it away and stands up tall.
"That was a nice surprise. Try it again." He dares.
Éclair stands there again and shouts with all her might. Mr. Boom is ready this time, though. Opening his big arms as far as they can spread, he sends a booming thunderclap at Éclair.
The clap and the shout cancel each other out, and Éclair drops to the ground, holding her throat.
"That was weaker than the first one." Mr. Boom taunts.
Thunder clouds emerge as Éclair gets up angry. Mr. Boom is smirking as he walks up to her.
The hair on Éclair's head stands as she sends down a massive lightning bolt on top of Mr. Boom.
The strike shocks Mr. Boom, who grits his teeth as he eats the attack. Standing there, smoke coming off of his body, he smirks again. "When your brother is a lightning type, you get used to a little zapping."
Now in front of her, Mr. Boom looks down on Éclair. "I'm giving you one last chance to get the hell outta my way, kid."
Éclair stands there, tired from using her powers so consistently, but she refuses to let this man go to hurt Cordayl. She stands there, and with all her might, she throws a punch.
Mr. Boom can not believe the bravery of this little girl refusing to move. "I'm not even getting paid for this." He thinks to himself. Sighing, he says, "Oh well." And hits Éclair like she's a grown-ass man, causing a massive boom at the contact with her small frame.
Éclair's eyes almost pop out of their sockets as blood comes flying out of her mouth.
Eclair's body goes flying away from Mr. Boom. "Hard head, soft bod-" Mr. Boom remarks until he sees Cordayl speed at him then by him.
Mr. Boom saw Cordayl catch the little girl, but he was shocked by the speed at which Cordayl was moving. If Cordayl had attacked, Mr. Boom wouldn't have had a chance to defend himself.
Cordayl catches Éclair as gently as possible and dashes around Mr. Boom. Cordayl holds Eclair's broken body in his hands, and his eyes water when she coughs up blood.
Éclair opens her eyes, and tears fall out of them as she sees she is in Cordayl's arms. A light shower of rain starts to fall as Éclair begins to cry.
"I'm sorry Éclair. Just hang in there a little longer, and the doctors at the palace will help you. Just stay str-'.
Éclair puts her hand over Cordayl's mouth, and tears slowly start to fall from Cordayl's eyes.
With no whiteboard, Éclair uses what little life she has to say 'My he -" but her life ends before she can finish the sentence.
Cordayl holds her lifeless body in his arms. The sun gets a brief moment to shine again, illuminating Eclair's face before it disappears and is replaced with a dreadful pouring of rain.
Cordayl's body goes numb, and he loses the sense of sound and touch as he spaces out.
His eyes are wide open, and he has no emotion on his face as the last tear falls and joins the rain that is pouring down. His aura darkens the forest floor as he sits there, his anger peaked.
Suddenly, Mr. Boom is behind him, throwing a punch that shakes the forest floor with a monstrous boom. But Cordayl isn't there.
Cordayl puts Éclair's body down gently in the treehouse, outside of the rain. Seeing the squirrel, Cordayl picks it up and places it next to Eclair.
Looking down at her lifeless body, Cordayl's rage flies beyond its peak as he vanishes.
Streak rejoins Mr. Boom in the open forest. "Where did he go?" Streak ask.
"Hell if I know. That boy is damn near as fast as you." Mr. Boom replies.
"Like hell he is! If he's as fast as me, he's definitely stronger than you." Streak retorts.
"Bullshit. Nobody is stronger than me!" Mr. Boom shouts.
"And nobody is faster than me!" Streak joins in the braggery.
Cordayl walks back into the open area. He is covered in darkness as he slowly approaches.
Streak smirks. "I'm glad your pussy ass has decided to stop runni-". Streak doesn't get to finish his sentence as Cordayl catches him by the mouth and slams him through every tree in the forest.
Streak finally breaks away from Cordayl's hold on him, but not without having the skin on the bottom half of his face ripped off.
Streak feels his face in horror, but his face quickly changes into a look of pure hatred as he grimaces at Cordayl.
Cordayl stares right back at him, his eyes white with rage, as he continues to walk towards Streak. Streak roars in anger and dives in to fight Cordayl.
This round is completely one-sided, as Cordayl is decimating Streak this time. With a devastating leg kick, Cordayl shatters the bone in Streak's thigh, causing him to scream in pain as he drops to the floor.
Mr. Boom's slow ass hears the scream and pushes himself to run faster to save his brother.
Streak is trying to limp away from Cordayl to buy him some time until Mr. Boom arrives, but Cordayl has no intention of taking it easy on him.
Catching up to him, Cordayl mercilessly breaks Streaks other leg . Streak screams again and falls to the ground. Cordayl punches Streak right in the mouth to silence him.
Cordayl grabs a leg and rips it off as easily he would a flat chicken wing and tosses it through the forest.
Streak is on the ground, rolling and shouting in pain as his blood saturates the forest floor. Streak is crying and trying to crawl away from this monster. Cordayl crushes the area with gravity, pinning Streak into the ground as he slowly walks up to him.
Streak's body doesn't have the strength to fight against this incredible weight dropped on top of him. All he can do is sit there in pain as he watches Cordayl slowly walk towards him.
No words spoken, a mass of gravity is suddenly in Cordayl's hand.
Streak watches in terror as the ball of black energy continues to growfrom the size of a baseball to that of a beach volleyball
Dropping the weight, Cordayl jumps up and stomps it down into Streak's chest.
The ball of gravity grinds away at Streak and swallows him until only his lightning fast legs are left
Mr. Boom runs through the forest as fast as he can, still in awe at what he barely saw.
On a good day, his eyes barely kept up with Streak's movements. That took years of training so that they could sync their attacks. On a great day like today, he and Streak were unstoppable.
But for the first time, he saw someone move so fast that they caught Streak by surprise. Mr. Boom barely caught it, but he saw the look of shock and disbelief in Streak's eyes, realizing Cordayl caught him.
Fearing that Streak might have finally found an opponent he couldn't handle alone inspires Mr. Boom's heavy body to move as fast as it can, but he skids to a halt when he is smacked in the chest by an unknown object.
Mr. Boom looks down in horror as he sees Streak's bloody leg in his arms.
Mr. Boom's mouth opens in horror, but then rage overcomes him as he grips the leg and races to save his brother.
Bursting into the scene, the first thing Mr. Boom sees is Cordayl's angry gaze. Cordayl turns around and unapologetically stares at Mr. Boom.
Mr. Boom watches as Cordayl turns away from Streak's destroyed body and slowly towards him. The color leaves Mr. Boom's eyes as he drops his brother's leg and walks towards Cordayl, thunder exploding with each step he takes.
The two stand a foot apart, staring each other in the eyes, thinking only of death. With nothing to say, they begin mortal kombat.
With each punch thrown, a tremendous thunderclap is heard and shakes the forest.
Cordayl and Mr. Boom are letting out all their pain and anger as they fight to the death.
Neither moves an inch as they give punches and take punches one after another, not caring about damage as long as they get to deal some in return.
Mr. Boom is fighting with all his rage, but it doesn't compare to the amount Cordayl has been holding in.
Cordayl's hits start to break more and more of Mr. Boom's body as he slows down due to all the damage he has acquired.
Cordayl doesn't let up, though, continuing to beat on Mr. Boom even after he has lost the will to stand.
As Cordayl sits on top of Mr. Boom's chest, repeatedly beating his face in, tears start to fall down his face as he starts to remember the friends he has lost and the friend he has just lost.
Even when Cordayl's knuckles reach the back of Mr. Boom's skull, he doesn't stop striking. Punching again and again until he is just punching the earth.
The strength behind Cordayl's punches are shaking the world to the point the blows are felt in the palace.
Even when Cordayl finally stops, the tears don't, as he rolls off Mr. Boom and cries into his arm.
Cordayl finally concludes his crying and sits up. Seeing that he is between the two dead brothers, Cordayl stands up and slowly makes his way back to the treehouse.
Getting to the treehouse, he sees the girl sitting on her horse. When she sees Cordayl, she runs up to hug him but stops in her tracks, seeing the blood and the empty look on his face.
She doesn't even have the bravery to speak as he walks past her and jumps up to the treehouse.
The sister gasps and covers her mouth when she sees a lifeless Éclair in his arms upon his descent.
Cordayl doesn't pay her any attention as he gently puts Eclair's body on the horse.
"Give her a decent burial. It's the last thing I'll ever ask of you." Cordayl says as he drops the squirrel into her hands and walks away.
