As Mila drove out from Alvaro's house, Allison and Jaime drove in with speed. Not waiting for the car to stop, Jaime jumped down and rushed inside. The young man knew that time was the priciest piece in this game at the moment. Every second wasted would determine his father's fate.
"Is my grandfather inside?" Jaime asked one of the servants. Before he could respond, he pushed his way through and entered the house.
Alvaro had just arrived, holding something wrapped in a handkerchief. His eyes scanned the room as if looking for someone.
"Grandpa," Jaime called breathlessly, standing for a moment to catch his breath.
Alvaro hummed a response, but his eyes didn't stop darting around. "Did she leave already?"
Jaime, who wasn't paying close attention, continued, "Dad needs your help. He said you could help bring him out of there. And he said those words because he was threatened."
Alvaro raised his brows. "Threatened? By whom?"
