The visit was unexpected, and Elijah had only just managed to make the lunch rush.
If he had known they would arrive, he would have sent Calvin straight to the restaurant and avoided bringing him to the hospital.
This wasn't the best time for unexpected guests.
"There's no need for that, Mr. Jacot," Calvin said seriously as they entered the elevator. "Our chairman sent me to look into the groups we support. If we find solid programs without enough resources, we're open to giving more support. I'm short on time, so I'll skip lunch."
Elijah felt a bit down, but his mood lifted when he heard there was a chance of more funding. "Mr. Jones, you're a man of action and responsibility. We've always aimed to improve lives and build a better community. With more support, I'm sure we could do even more."
