Chapter 410 - Chapter 410: Don’t Give Him Time to Break Through

"Roar..."

A myriad of beasts roared, charging through the sky like a massive army. The momentum was not only overwhelming, but also shook one's soul.

If it were an ordinary soul master, facing such a sight, their legs would likely have gone weak from fear.

"True·Fox Chanting Technique: One Thought to Dispel Three Thousand Woes!"Xia Yi leaped into the air, unleashing hundreds of palm strikes mid-air. Each strike accurately landed on one of the surging beast hordes, scattering them all within moments.

"Blood Lion's Wrath!"Wu Jin let out a sky-shaking roar and once again threw a punch toward Xia Yi. A massive, blood-colored Snow Jade Lion Emperor, over a hundred meters tall, charged straight at Xia Yi.

Before the lion even reached him, a chilling wind surged forth, carried by its terrifying bloodthirsty aura.

"Hey, hey, don't say I didn't warn you—if this continues, I'm gonna get serious. If I end up suppressing you single-handedly, don't say I didn't give you face."Xia Yi threw a punch—Demon-Expelling Technique, First Form—his golden fist indestructible, smashing the massive Snow Jade Lion Emperor away like it was nothing.

"If you've got the guts, try it!"Wu Jin's aura surged again, and terrifying soul beast phantoms appeared behind him, each as tall as a mountain and as deep as the sea.

Wu Jin stepped forward, and in an instant, his figure seemed to grow, towering like the heavens and the earth.

"Holy crap, are you playing dirty now? You're really going all out?"Xia Yi widened his eyes, then casually lifted the Earth Cauldron and hurled it.

The Earth Cauldron was the Cauldron of Soul Beast Fortune, possessing a suppressive effect on all soul beasts—especially land-based ones.

"Stop bluffing with borrowed power."Sensing the cauldron's aura, Wu Jin did not retreat. As the beast phantoms behind him roared to the sky, he threw another heavy punch at Xia Yi.

Xia Yi could feel that this punch contained the power of heaven and earth. For a moment, even he felt as if he were battling the world itself.

"Futile." Xia Yi chuckled. With the Earth Cauldron in hand, he stood undefeated.

As expected, after a few exchanges, Xia Yi seized an opening. Using the cauldron like a hammer—Boom!—he slammed it right onto Wu Jin's head.

"If you've got guts, let's fight fair!" Wu Jin growled, gritting his teeth.

"Only losers make excuses."Xia Yi laughed. "I think your legs just gave out, that's why you lost so fast."

Wu Jin shot Xia Yi a fierce glare but said nothing.

Xia Yi laughed heartily and casually tossed a wine bottle to Wu Jin.

Wu Jin didn't hesitate, catching it and chugging it straight away, a flicker of confusion flashing in his eyes.

"What is it? Feeling lost? Don't know what to do next?"Xia Yi sat down in front of him and asked.

Wu Jin looked up at him again but remained silent, just kept drinking.

"Now that the Abyssal Creatures are gone, you don't have a goal anymore, right?" Xia Yi asked again. He could fully understand Wu Jin—he had regarded invading the Abyssal Plane and avenging the people of Endless Mountains as his ultimate mission.

But now, before he even had time to process it, the Abyssal Plane was suddenly gone. His greatest enemy—vanished.

And it had absolutely nothing to do with him.

With the Abyss destroyed, Wu Jin felt no satisfaction from revenge—only failure.

The destruction came too suddenly—more dreamlike than a dream itself. Wu Jin now had no idea what to do next.

He had never thought about life after the Abyss.

In such a case, it was perfectly normal to feel lost.

After all, even Zhang Huanyun and Leng Yaozhu were now trying to figure out what the Blood God Legion should do next.

"You monsters completely wrecked my plans…" Wu Jin finally let out a bitter laugh.

"Next, soul beasts will completely withdraw from the Douluo Plane. Are you leaving too?" Xia Yi asked.

"Withdraw from the Douluo Plane? Where are you guys going?" Wu Jin asked, intrigued.

"To a god realm we created ourselves. It was just a prototype before, but after this battle in the Abyssal Plane, we've seized enough power to almost finalize it," Xia Yi replied.

Once the Soul Beast God Realm was finalized, it would allow soul beasts to break through to godhood. As for how many it could support—only once the realm was fully stabilized would they know.

But that wasn't a problem. As long as they found ways to keep advancing the realm, it would eventually produce more and more divine thrones, supporting more soul beasts becoming gods.

The most important thing now was to first get the top-tier soul beasts to godhood.

"God Realm? But don't you need to be a god to enter it?" Wu Jin became even more curious.

"Not ours. In the god realm we created, beings of all cultivation levels can enter. Soul beasts can train inside, not only faster, but most importantly—free from the threat of heavenly tribulation," Xia Yi explained.

"For Feng'er's sake, give me two slots." Wu Jin looked at Xia Yi again. Giving Feng'er to Xia Yi had been his way of ensuring her a better future.

He hadn't expected Xia Yi to play him like this.

He seriously suspected Xia Yi had planned everything from the beginning.

Getting Feng'er to "force herself" on him was probably meant to give Wu Jin a reason to back off.

Or maybe... to give him a way out.

"Alright. I'll arrange a cushy job for Feng'er watching over the medicinal garden," Xia Yi laughed loudly.

"The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well?"Wu Jin squinted, instantly guessing what medicinal garden Xia Yi meant.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well—a near-perfect match for Feng'er.

That had been his plan all along—to get Xia Yi to place Feng'er there.

And clearly, Xia Yi had seen through it.

Which was why he arranged things just like that.

"Heh heh! Smart!" Xia Yi laughed.

"If I were that smart, I wouldn't have been played so thoroughly by you. Go ahead, keep mocking me!"Wu Jin stretched lazily. He didn't seem angry—just gave Xia Yi a fierce look and said,"Last night's matter isn't over. Once I break through, I'm coming for you again."

"Oh yeah?" Xia Yi smiled."That could be a problem... In that case, I'll just make sure you don't get time to break through."

"What do you mean?" Wu Jin froze.

"Nothing much."Xia Yi clapped toward the sky and looked up."Feng'er, come on out."

As soon as Xia Yi finished speaking, Feng'er slowly emerged in the air. As she landed, she bowed respectfully to Xia Yi,"My Lord!"

Compared to yesterday, today's bow was clearly more natural—no trace of yesterday's resentment.

Clearly, she had accepted Xia Yi as her "Lord."

Wu Jin glanced at Feng'er and snorted, but said nothing. He had known she was secretly watching.

After all, she feared Wu Jin might really try to fight Xia Yi to the death.

Xia Yi, of course, also realized this.

"Feng'er, take your Lion Emperor back. Continue what you started last night. Don't give him any time to break through," Xia Yi laughed heartily as he gave the order.

"Xia Yi!" Wu Jin roared furiously. He never expected Xia Yi to be this shameless.

"Lion Emperor, you told me to listen to the Lord. The Lord said it's time to go home," Feng'er replied obediently. Ignoring Wu Jin's bloodshot eyes and loud roar, she dragged him away.

"Hahaha! Let's see you break through and challenge me now!"Xia Yi's loud laughter echoed again.

Wu Jin was so furious he nearly coughed up blood.

He really wanted to slap himself—why'd he have to open his big mouth at the end?

Sure, last night felt pretty good…

But there's a huge difference between taking the lead and being dragged away!
