Chapter 1 - The Shardfall

The skies of Celesthar fractured on a day that would forever be etched into history as The Shardfall—the day reality itself was torn asunder.

It began as an eerie stillness, a silence so profound it seemed to suffocate the world. The animals froze, the wind stopped, and all of nature held its breath as the heavens split. A great celestial body streaked across the sky in a fiery arc before shattering into countless fragments. Those fragments, glowing with unnatural energy, rained down upon the world, burning through mountains, seas, and cities alike.

Wherever the shards struck, chaos followed. The land itself twisted and pulsed with energy, and creatures—both great and small—were transformed into grotesque and powerful versions of themselves. Animals mutated into beasts called Primals, monstrous beings capable of wielding elemental and supernatural power. Entire forests warped, rivers ran wild with molten fire or frost, and mountains groaned under the weight of their new, unnatural shapes.

But it wasn't just the world that changed. The shards tore holes between dimensions, unleashing beings from the Hollow Dimension, creatures now known as Otherkind—manifestations of corruption and decay, harbingers of destruction that fed on the very life of the planet.

The kingdoms of Celesthar, unprepared for such devastation, crumbled under the assault of Primals and Otherkind alike. Humanity was pushed to the brink of extinction, surviving only through the formation of the Hunter's Association, the guilds, and sheer determination.

The world had been forever altered, and the fragile balance of life had shattered with it.
