After the preliminaries ended, I didn't go to the Hyuga clan, and instead went to Guy-sensei's home.
I will be living with him this month and training with him.
"Naomi, just sleep tonight. Rest is necessary for a YOUTHFUL training tomorrow!"
I let out a smile and went to sleep.
Guy-sensei's house is in the outskirts of the village, on the top of a hill covered with forests. A perfect place for training in peace, unlike the Hyuga clan where there is no privacy.
As I was about to sleep, my ears perked up at the conversation happening outside.
"Guy, I am here on Hyuga clan's order to bring Naomi for training this month to prepare her for the finals."
"I am her sensei. And both of us have decided that we will train together for the finals."
Oh. Those fuckers don't let me a moment of peace...
"Guy, I am warning you. Don't come in between the matters of the Hyuga clan-"
I came out of the house, and said to the branch member who has accepted being a slave.
"Ko, then tell the clan leader that I will be training under the stronger taijutsu specialist. If he wants me to train in the Hyuga clan for the finals, tell him to come here and challenge Guy-sensei on a taijutsu spar.
But, if Guy-sensei wins, he will have to accept my request unconditionally."
Ko sighed.
"Alright. I will deliver your words to the clan leader. But Naomi, I will tell you this as a fellow branch family member.
Resisting is useless. Hyuga clan is the strongest clan in the village. And Hiashi-sama is the strongest after Hokage-sama. An ordinary Jonin like Guy with his brute taijutsu wouldn't be able to win against Hiashi-sama in a taijutsu spar."
I hmph'ed and went back inside, and started pretending to sleep.
'Hyuga clan is the strongest!'....
Yeah. Because the Senju and Uchiha clans are no more. No, even the only alive members are capable of annihilating this weakling clan. Tsunade and Itachi. I would not even count Obito.
Guy-sensei alone can kill the entire Hyuga clan without even needing to go into Seventh Gate.
Those fools are thoroughly foolish and arrogant. The only thing they have inherited from the Otsutsuki clan aside from a Byakugan is their stupidity and arrogance.
When in the manga, Kakashi said that the Byakugan may be superior to the Sharingan, well, he only knew about the three-tomoe Sharingan at that time, he wasn't wrong.
At first, I also thought that Byakugan is inferior to Sharingan. But I no longer think so. Well, putting aside the Mangekyo though.
With Byakugan, I can see 359°, and my current range is 2km.
X-ray vision, easily seeing through obstacles, incredible chakra control... Byakugan is extremely versatile.
But, in the end, Byakugan is just a pair of versatile eyes.
If a person is born into the Hyuga clan, he/she is born with Byakugan. With training, activating Byakugan is something that everyone is able to. That's why, after a certain age, almost everyone in the Hyuga clan becomes atleast a special Jonin, specialising in sensing.
Hyuga clan certainly had the most number of high level ninjas. That's why they think they are elite.
But, this assurance has stunted the growth of the Hyugas. All their life, they just practice Gentle Fist.
Gentle Fist does have many advantages. Bring able to disturb and even cut off opponent's chakra, cutting projectile ninjutsus like Great Fireball Jutsu, a good defence that is only taught to the main family... Anyone who masters even only the Gentle Fist will become Jonin when the body catches up to be able to use it proficiently.
But, Byakugan has a lot more potential, as the eyes of the Otsutsuki clan.
First of all, I, like many Hyugas, can expell chakra from all my 361 tenkutsu points at my will. And doing it with hands is the easiest.
In gentle fist, you first touch an opponent, and then put chakra. What if, these two things are done together? Wouldn't it be exactly the same as Tsunade's taijutsu?
Using Gentle Fist too much builds up muscle memory, so transitioning into Tsunade's style is difficult. I have been trying for a while, and intend to complete it by the end of this month.
Next, as mentioned in the manga, Byakugan can also be used to boost the chakra of others. I haven't exactly gotten how to do it, but it is certainly a good support ability.
Byakugan is seriously helpful in medical ninjutsu. There is no need to even say anything about it.
Good chakra control also means good genjutsu talent. While reaching the level of Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu with Byakugan is almost impossible, if worked hard enough, it can atleast become comparable to 3 tomoe Sharingan.
And lastly, ninjutsu. Good chakra control not only means less chakra expenditure on the ninjutsu, but also eases their execution. It drastically reduces the need for handsigns, as the Byakugan can see the chakra flow inside the body, and seeing things make them easier.
So far, I have 'created' Naomi-style Vortex-ball, i.e., Rasengan. I have also created some variants, like super compressed version, and Rasen-gun.
Since my chakra nature is lightning, I have also created 'Chidori-gun', a mid-distance lightning release inspired by Chidori and Lighting ball, by compressing lightning like a bullet, and expelling it from my finger.
The potential of Byakugan is insane. I doubt anyone aside from people like Tsunade has the chakra control to be able to expel it from all 361 tenkutsu points.
Yet, all they do is gentle fist.
Fixing my bad instincts to be able to expel chakra at the time of impact like Tsunade will be difficult... but...
Nothing is impossible with the Power of YOUTH!
