Susan woke with a strangled gasp, sat up abruptly, her hands going to her head, trembling, like she could feel Elisa's hands. The world spun briefly before settling into a dull throb behind her eyes. Her vision cleared just enough to see Cael standing beside her, brows furrowed in concern.
Mira stood beside him, her arms stretched out to assist her sit up.
"Elder," he said softly, "don't sit up too fast."
"What happened?" she whispered, blinking slowly. Her voice sounded hollow, stretched thin with exhaustion.
"You passed out after the... whatever that was," Mira replied softly.
"How long was I out?," she asked leaning back into the pillows Mira placed behind her, "what about Elisa? How is she?"
"For about twenty minutes. Elisa is still unconsious." Cael responded, "Mira was about to go put her on an IV when you woke up."
"What happened? Was she the cause of this? Did her wolf flip out?" Mira asked.
