The drive back to the Koamchi's mansion was pure bliss. Layla let go of all of her worries, her head buried over Michael's chest. Elysia caressed his head, and he felt her genuine care. He finally got the nerves to spill out the tragedy that broke Specter Mansion, along with the attack that could have killed them.
"I don't care about the house, Layla… but what would I have done if I lost you?" Michael buried his face over her belly while his hands wrapped around her waist. The feeling was overwhelming for him.
