Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Arrival at The Burrow

Dumbledore firmly rejected her suggestion.

"The Flamel couple is old; they can't handle the energy of young people," he explained.

Jane Yu thought for a moment and agreed—it made sense.

After all, living for over six hundred years had left them in a fragile state—

Their fingers, arms, and legs were ridiculously prone to breaking.

In fact, the last package she received even contained Nicolas Flamel's detached pinky finger—

She had to carefully rewrap it and send it back so he could reattach it.

It seemed that even the slightest touch from her might snap their arms or legs.

Perhaps the only thing keeping them going was their passion for improving and designing gaming consoles.

With the Flamel couple unable to help, Jane realized she needed to find a wizarding family in Europe.

She could use her financial resources to hire someone to teach her the basics.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Dumbledore.

The guardian tried to steer her away from dangerous ideas and instead brought up the Weasley family.

"Mr. and Mrs. Weasley have always wanted to invite you to stay with them for a while. They've even invited you to join them for the Quidditch World Cup."

Jane imagined the scene—a large family crowded together, noisy and bustling—

Even if they were all people she knew, the thought made her feel a bit uneasy.

The Weasley family seemed to be full of extroverts!

But Dumbledore appeared determined to help her move past the shadow of Trelawney's prophecy.

As he had read in Wizarding Youth Education, children should spend more time with their peers to avoid becoming withdrawn.

And who in the wizarding world had more children than the Weasleys?

Surely, it would be a wonderful place for her to stay.

...

"Mum—Jane's here!"

Jane appeared in the Weasley kitchen through the fireplace. Before she could steady herself, Ron's shout echoed through the room.

But his twin brothers were faster than their mother. Almost the moment Ron made a sound, Fred and George appeared by the fireplace.

Fred stood on the left, performing an exaggerated bow, his face lit up with a mischievous grin:

"Welcome, our esteemed investor, Miss Snake—"

George stood on the right, mimicking the same gesture and extending his left arm to help Jane step out of the fireplace. He added enthusiastically:

"Honored to host her inspection of her loyal business partners' humble abode—"

The small kitchen erupted in laughter. Jane looked around and saw two red-haired boys she didn't recognize sitting at the wooden table.

They reached out to greet her, and she quickly learned they were Bill and Charlie, the eldest Weasley brothers.

Mrs. Weasley rushed into the kitchen, her face flushed as she struggled with the knot on her magical apron:

"Hello, Jane, dear!"

Jane stepped forward to help untie the apron. Mrs. Weasley looked visibly relieved, and the redness in her face quickly faded.

"These rascals!" She turned to scold her sons in the kitchen. "Seeing their mother tangled up and not even offering a hand!"

Mr. Weasley appeared at the kitchen door, cleverly changing the subject to prevent yet another family argument from erupting:

"Molly, why don't you let Ginny show Jane her room? Ginny—are you alright?"

Ginny's face was even redder than Mrs. Weasley's had been. She took a deep breath, looking like she was about to have an asthma attack.

Fred and George immediately seized the moment:

"She doesn't look too well—how about we take Jane instead—"

The twins' words were like magic, instantly curing Ginny's condition. Her face returned to normal as she glared at them, pulling Jane's arm protectively in front of her while shouting:

"Mum—look at them—"

"Don't you dare move!" Mrs. Weasley shouted at the twins.

Ginny and Jane left the kitchen, with Ron cautiously sneaking out behind them. He let out a heavy sigh:

"Thank Merlin, I escaped. Mum looked like she was going to eat someone—Jane, have you heard of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes?"

Jane felt a pang of guilt.

Wasn't that exactly the project she had invested in?

Back during the last school term, the twins had used their persuasive charm to present their business plan to her.

They planned to buy Number 93 Diagon Alley or Zonko's Joke Shop in Hogsmeade once they earned their first pot of gold.

She had highly praised their creativity and invested an initial sum for their research and development.

But at this moment, she could only feign ignorance and ask, "What is Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes?"

Ginny laughed, her face reddening again:

"Mum found a stack of order forms while cleaning their room—a long list of price sheets for fake wands, magical candies, and more..."

"We often hear explosions from their room, but we didn't expect they were actually making things. They want to sell them at Hogwarts."

Ron leaned in conspiratorially, sharing a family secret:

"Mum was furious. Their O.W.L. results disappointed her, and she wanted them to work at the Ministry of Magic... That argument was intense!"

The three of them climbed the winding staircase to the second floor. Ginny stopped in front of her bedroom door and took another deep breath:

"Jane... you're sharing a room with me!"

She pushed the door open, ready to introduce Jane to her favorite Weird Sisters and Holyhead Harpies posters—all adorning the walls...

But the next second—

She slammed the door shut!

"Dinner's almost ready!" Ginny stammered, her carefully built composure completely collapsing. "Maybe we should come back later—"

Ron gave his sister a strange look and bluntly asked:

"But it's only three in the afternoon?"

He let out a long wail as Ginny twisted his waist hard with her right hand.

At the bottom of the family food chain, he looked aggrieved, his eyes glistening with tears:

"Yes... dinner's almost ready... we love having dinner at three..."

His waist suffered another blow.

Fortunately, Percy opened his door with a stern face, saving him.

"You all can chat first!"

Ginny let out a sigh of relief and hurried back into her room.

She never expected that the chibi posters and photos of Jane, which she had asked her twin brothers to charm and conceal—

Would now be so blatantly exposed!

"Fred! George!"

An enraged Ginny roared as she scrambled to cover them with cloth again.

"This Permanent Sticking Charm!—It's maddening—!"

In a way, she and Sirius Black seemed to share a certain kinship.
