Honeydukes was bustling with Hogwarts students. The shop was filled with countless shelves, stocked with the most enticing candies imaginable. There were large chunks of creamy peanut brittle, glowing pink coconut ice, hundreds of neatly arranged varieties of chocolate, a big barrel of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, a barrel of Fizzing Whizbees, and the floating drinks Ron had mentioned.
Along another wall were candies with "special effects": Drooble's Best Blowing Gum (which filled a room with bluebell-colored bubbles that wouldn't pop for days), strange splintery Toothflossing Stringmints, tiny black Pepper Imps ("Breathe fire for your friends!"), Ice Mice ("Hear your teeth chatter and squeak!"), peppermint toads ("Hop realistically in your stomach!"), crunchy sugar quills, and Exploding Bonbons.
In the farthest corner hung a sign ("Unusual Tastes"). Ron and Hermione stood beneath it, examining a tray of blood-flavored lollipops. Harry and Orli snuck up behind them.
# Hermione
"Well, no, Harry wouldn't want that, it's for vampires, I think."
Hermione was saying.
# Ron
"How about this?"
Ron asked, shoving a jar of cockroach clusters under Hermione's nose.
# Harry
"Definitely not."
Harry said suddenly.
Orli and Harry mischievously pulled off the hood of the Invisibility Cloak, revealing just their floating heads in the air, making Ron nearly drop the jar.
# Hermione
"Orli!"
Hermione shrieked,
# Hermione
"What are you doing here? How did you—how did you get here?"
# Ron
"Wow!"
Ron said,
# Ron
"You really used the secret passage, didn't you?"
# Harry
"Of course."
Harry said. He lowered his voice and explained everything about the Marauder's Map to them.
# Ron
"Why didn't Fred and George ever give me something like that!"
Ron said, fuming,
# Ron
"I'm their brother!"
# Hermione
"But Harry won't keep it for long!"
Hermione said, as if the idea was absurdly funny.
# Hermione
"He'll hand it over to Professor McGonagall, won't you, Harry?"
# Harry
"No, I won't!"
Harry said.
# Ron
"Are you mad?"
Ron said, staring at Hermione,
# Ron
"Hand over something like that?"
Hermione turned her gaze to Orli, seeking support, but Orli silently pulled the hood of the Invisibility Cloak back over herself, making herself completely invisible. She too didn't want to hand over the Marauder's Map.
# Harry
"Alright, alright, we're here now. Are you going to report us, Hermione?"
Harry asked her with a cheeky grin.
# Hermione
"Oh—of course not—but honestly, Harry—"
# Ron
"Shall we go to the Three Broomsticks for some Butterbeer?"
Ron quickly changed the subject.
# Harry
"That sounds perfect."
Harry agreed with him seamlessly.
Ron and Hermione paid for their candy, while Harry and Orli, under the Invisibility Cloak, crossed the road to the Three Broomsticks. The pub was crowded and noisy, warm and smoky. Harry and Orli slipped into a secluded booth at the back of the pub, finally taking off the Invisibility Cloak.
Five minutes later, Ron returned, carrying four large foaming mugs of hot Butterbeer. Orli eagerly took a big sip but quickly frowned. It tasted like hot, flat beer mixed with a large dollop of butter, with a hint of sweetness. It wasn't unpleasant, but it wasn't as good as she'd imagined. The only advantage was that it was warming, though Orli wondered if it was truly non-alcoholic. She only drank two sips before setting it aside.
