To reach Flaming Mountain, they had to cross the vast desert. Fortunately, with their advanced transportation and supply capsules, the journey was not as challenging as it could have been.
The most frightening aspect of the desert was getting lost, but with the Dragon Radar's guidance, they didn't have to worry about losing their way.
John drove the car, with Bulma, Goku, and Oolong singing and chatting happily inside, a stark contrast to the miserable situation in the previous life's storyline.
On a distant mountain overlooking the desert road, a man named Pu'er, Yamcha's servant, was observing the desert highway through a telescope. Soon, he spotted a car driving into the desert.
Pu'er immediately flew down from the cave entrance and shouted to Yamcha, "Master Yamcha, we have customers! A car is heading our way."
Yamcha drained the tea from his cup and took down the sword hanging on the wall. "Pu'er, let's go greet these people. If they're cooperative, we'll let them go. If not, we'll show no mercy."
After saying this, Yamcha rode his motorcycle at high speed to intercept John's car.
John was driving towards Flaming Mountain, and as they entered the desert, the weather became increasingly hot. The usually lively group gradually became weary.
Even with the air conditioning on, they started to doze off in their seats.
Suddenly, a motorcycle appeared, blocking John's car. John was startled and slammed on the brakes.
The screeching sound of tires against the road filled the air, and the car finally came to a stop just short of the motorcycle. Goku and Oolong, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown forward and hit the front seats, crying out in pain.
Bulma, who had been asleep, was about to unleash her anger, but when she saw the handsome man on the motorcycle, her fury dissipated, replaced by delight.
John also noticed Yamcha, who looked far more attractive and handsome than his comic book counterpart.
Perhaps due to his desert lifestyle, Yamcha exuded a wild and untamed aura, which was especially captivating to women.
Goku also possessed this wildness, but he was still too young, and his innocence overshadowed this trait.
Yamcha didn't notice Bulma in the car; his attention was immediately drawn to John, who had stepped out of the driver's seat. Although John wasn't as handsome as Yamcha, he exuded a powerful aura that marked him as a skilled martial artist.
Yamcha shouted, "I think you understand the situation. Hand over all your capsules, and I'll let you go. Otherwise, it's up to my sword."
John calmly asked, "As a fellow martial artist, don't you know that our duty is to protect the innocent and punish the wicked, not bully the weak?"
Yamcha waved his sword and shouted, "Enough talk! I'm not here to debate with you. If you're not willing to hand over your capsules, don't blame me for what happens next."
After saying this, Yamcha drew his sword and slashed at John.
John dodged and retaliated with a kick, and the two began to fight. Yamcha, with his sword, had the upper hand.
The sound of their battle woke Bulma, who had been enjoying Yamcha's good looks. She quickly got out of the car.
"Stop!" Bulma's sweet voice immediately caught Yamcha's attention.
He turned and saw Bulma's charming figure, and his face turned red.
His body stiffened, as if struck by lightning, and he fell to the ground.
Goku, who had just gotten out of the car to help John, was startled by the sudden collapse of their opponent. He thought John had done something and looked at him in fear, believing he possessed mysterious powers.
John gave Goku a disapproving look and explained, "This guy is afraid of girls. He was scared stiff when he saw Bulma."
Goku and Oolong, who had followed him out of the car, were speechless.
On the other side, Pu'er, Yamcha's servant, knew his master's weakness. Seeing Yamcha unable to move, he shouted, "Master Yamcha!" and flew over to help him.
Bulma, seeing the handsome man suddenly collapse, was startled and thought he was ill. She wanted to help, but her approach only made Yamcha retreat in fear.
"Don't come any closer!" he cried.
Bulma was offended and pointed at herself, asking John, "Am I that ugly and scary?"
John quickly shook his head and praised her, "Of course not. You're the cutest, prettiest, and most mature girl I know."
Hearing John's words, Bulma was pleased, and her anger subsided. However, she still asked, "Then why is he so afraid of me?"
John, looking at Yamcha being dragged onto the motorcycle by Pu'er, said, "Maybe he's naturally afraid of girls, especially the prettier ones."
Bulma was surprised and said, "Is there such a disease in this world?"
John replied, "The world is vast, and there are all kinds of strange things."
"It's a pity," Bulma said, feeling sorry. "He's so handsome, yet he can't even touch a girl."
By this time, Yamcha had recovered. He started his motorcycle and said to John, "I won't let you off so easily. Just wait and see."
After saying this, Yamcha sped away on his motorcycle.
John and his group ignored him and continued driving. The desert was vast, and they drove for an entire day without leaving it.
They found a flat area and used a house capsule to create a dome-shaped house, preparing to spend the night in the desert.
