Chapter 63 - 1 - UltSans Versus Kratos

The sun god screamed — but Kratos did not flinch.

He gripped tighter.

With one final, brutal wrench, the god's golden head tore free from his shoulders in a blinding burst of divine light. The body of Helios collapsed like shattered marble, twitching as the radiance left him.

Kratos stood tall, blood and light dripping from his arms, the head of Helios clutched in one hand, still glowing faintly.

He turned without pause.

The battlefield behind him burned. Ahead, the path wound forward across the broken spine of Gaia, leading toward the next chamber of Olympus. The air grew darker now — sunless, heavy with smoke and ash.

Without a word, Kratos attached the glowing head to his belt, its flickering light casting twisted shadows across his face. His boots crushed stone and bone alike as he moved, relentless, expression carved from rage and purpose.

He marched forward.Another god dead.Another obstacle removed.

And Olympus was watching.

🎮 Gameplay – Kratos Makes His Way Through

The world dimmed further as Kratos pushed ahead along Gaia's shoulder, the remains of sun-glow flickering weakly from his belt. Without warning, cursed remnants of Olympus began to claw their way up from cracks and craters in the terrain.

Ash Wraiths lunged first — screeching, insubstantial creatures that warped the air around them. Kratos swept his blades in a wide arc, catching two mid-air and slamming them down in a shockwave that shattered the brittle path beneath him.

Satyrs charged next, coordinated and vicious. Kratos parried a spear thrust, countering with a chained grab, slamming one creature into the others like a living wrecking ball. He followed it with a Blades of Exile spin attack, sending body parts flying across the cliffside.

Flaming Harpies circled from above — Kratos leapt, grabbed one mid-flight, and drove it screaming into the ground, stomping its skull to silence the echo.

Throughout the combat, the clouds above flickered. Some didn't move naturally — they glitched, pixelated at the edges, frozen in place as if stitched in error.

In the far distance, a strange portal blinked into existence. The air shimmered around it like torn fabric. Inside, a silhouette stood — still, watching.

Kratos narrowed his eyes.He pressed forward.

🎬 Cinematographic moment

After clearing the enemies, Kratos approached the place where he'd seen the silhouette — but there was nothing there now. The portal had vanished. The strange figure was gone.

Kratos hesitated, scanning the jagged terrain. The only sound was the distant howl of Olympus' crumbling peaks.

He turned slowly. The vision was gone, irrelevant. The next god awaited.

But then — bones erupted from the ground, forming a jagged wall in front of him. Kratos halted mid-step, caught by surprise.

From the dust and bones, a figure emerged.

UltSans:

"Wow, cool blades and chains. Is that a head? Oh, that's cool. Listen, human, I like your halloween outfit, so... I'll spare you if you show me more closely those blades and head, ok?"

Kratos turned, unspeaking, and launched the Blades of Exile in a wide, ruthless arc.

UltSans vanished instantly, his form dissolving and blinking a few paces to the side.

UltSans (mockingly):

"I hope you can use those chains to get them back, or you may have to walk and grab them."

Kratos clenched his fists. He pulled — the blades snapped back, loyal to his rage.He attacked again.Faster. Harder.

Each strike passed through nothing — UltSans dodged without looking, his body leaving blurred trails as if reality couldn't keep up.

Kratos, undeterred, grabbed Helios' head. Light bloomed outward.

UltSans recoiled, confused, shielding his eyes.

UltSans:

"What? How the fuck does a cosmetic head... Did you hide a ultra potent flashlight or something??..."

Kratos charged again — UltSans continued dodging at unreadable speed, his eyes still closed.

Then suddenly — Kratos couldn't move. His limbs locked.

A glowing blue aura surrounded him, freezing him in place.

He looked over — UltSans stood with his right hand slightly lifted, eyes open now and burning bright blue.

UltSans:

"I have to admit, I never expected a human to be like this. You had good tricks, but..."

UltSans reached for Helios' head, grabbing it by the hair, examining it up close.

UltSans:

"This looks very good... I never saw a cosmetic head in person, and much less of this quality... Where is that flashlight?"

Kratos' body started glowing with a deep red flame. The aura cracked, then shattered in a violent roar of Spartan Rage.

UltSans blinked back, startled.

UltSans:

"Wow!... I guess I overheated you, huh?... Oh god—"

Kratos slammed the blades down where UltSans stood — the ground exploded in a quake, molten cracks racing across the cliff.

UltSans warped away again.

UltSans:

"Alright, how does a human can do that??..."

Kratos launched the blades toward him once more — UltSans raised his right hand, and bones surged from the ground, intercepting the blades, parrying them with sharp upward angles.

The bone spires sank slowly back into the earth.

UltSans' face was now serious. Angry.

Helios' head burned in his left hand.

UltSans:

"Ok, you know what?! Enough playing! I, am the True God of HyperDeath!! It's kill or be killed!!"

He grabbed Helios' head with both hands.

The flames surged — then with a violent crush, the head was gone, incinerated in an instant.

Helios' light extinguished completely.

Kratos stared.No fear.No hesitation.Only rage.

He spoke — voice low, hoarse, filled with venom:

Kratos:

"I have killed gods more real than you."

He stepped forward, the ground cracking beneath each boot.

Kratos:

"You speak the word as if it grants power."

He drew the Blades of Exile again, spinning them in slow, deliberate arcs as sparks scattered from their edges.

Kratos:

"It only marks your grave."

Then he launched forward — full speed, no hesitation — as a Spartan possessed by the memory of betrayal, vengeance, and war.
