Night had reached its darkest. Not a single star illuminated the dark void of the sky.
There had been a time many years ago when Solvi had enjoyed the night sky and the few stars it had left. Now, it really was a barren universe up there.
Solvi had spent so much time in her Shattered Veil that she no longer understood the concept of time. She was pretty sure nearly fifty years had gone by since she'd first entered it, but it was a hard thing to keep track of.
Time in the Veil simply flowed differently.
Not that it was much of a problem. There was no one left in the world that she cared for anymore.
Still, it felt nice to step out into the real world every once in a while. It offered a more mundane, three-dimensional view on things, which was a great way to ground herself if she ever needed it.
Especially on a night like tonight.
Those fragment wielders were still out there. And she wished to talk to them again, now that their battle was over.
