While staring at the new blueprint he got, Daki suddenly showed up from behind.
An excited gasp left her mouth as she uttered, "Is Master about to summon another weapon?"
Rashin looked at her. "I guess so."
"Amazing! Who would have thought I'd have to defend my rank so soon? I feel so excited."
"Rank? What are you talking about?"
"Oh?" Daki moved back a bit. "Pardon my rudeness, I got carried away there."
She raised a finger. "We weapon maidens have ranks that we must obtain in order to serve you better."
Rashin tilted his head to the side. "What are... ranks?"
"Well, as far as I know, the ranks go as follows: Queen rank, which is the highest, and then there's Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn."
'My soul-rank weapons have their own internalized ranking system?' Rashin thought to himself.
"So if you have another maiden, then I have to secure my position as the Queen. I can't afford to let someone else take that position from me."
