Chapter 30 - Don't Exist, Huh?

There were two guards behind Agneil. They wore blue and white robes with golden lining, and held long spears in their right hands.

One of them spoke up after Sin's silence, which extended a couple seconds too long.

"He asked you a question." The guard on the left said in a low tone, staring right into Sin's eyes.

'Oh wait... that's right.' Sin's expression went from a frown back to a normal look. His brows then furrowed, an almost smug confidence filling up within him.

'I don't have to be scared of revealing my identity then... good.' Of course, Sin wasn't actually scared of Agneil.

He knew that the fatass was strong, but that had never stopped him from taking on a fight before... If anything, it excited him.

Sin took chances. He took risks, where the odds weren't in his favor. That was his thing.

However, as it currently stood now, Sin's low power was only a small reason why he didn't want to mess around with Agneil much.

It was mostly the fact that Agneil had such an overwhelming backing behind him that made Sin more cautious.

Sin wasn't used to large cities. He wasn't even very used to human societal behavior in big groups. He came from a small village, and it had been half a decade that he spent constant time with people.

Since all fear came from the unknown, Sin's fear stemmed from the fact that he didn't know how difficult it could be to handle the full force of a city hunting him down.

Right now, Sin had no doubts that if Agneil saw him again, the fatass would lose control and do everything in his power to kill him.

But that didn't matter for now, since Sin's face was hidden and all.

"Nothing, young lord... I was only talking about the great decision you made in choosing the Ace Hunter Group as your assisting party." Sin replied, attempting to either gain some points with Agneil--or at least slide on by without being noticed.

Agneil paused for a moment before moving on.

"Hm." He said, walking around Sin and to the middle of the table before placing his hands down and addressing all the Hunters.

"Listen up... I know you all are strong Hunters, but understand that brute power and power that comes from status are different. Do not forget your places in this quest." Agneil turned, facing his guards for a second.

"These guards are not to help me defeat the quest. That's what you guys are for. These guards are to protect me if something were to go wrong, and if you fools were to turn your backs on me."

As soon as Agneil said this, a slightly awkward and tense silence spread through the table.

He narrowed his eyelids in an aggressive manner before saying: "They say that inside of a dungeon, status, law, and order no longer exist. But I'll tell you that that's completely wrong. Status is above all--whether it be dungeon or Spirit. It doesn't mean squat."

There was another silence. Sin thought to himself, 'Inside a dungeon, law, order, and status don't exist huh?'

After this little speech from Agneil, everything settled down and everyone began to stand up.

The Ace Hunter group prepared professionally. They had three large bags full of supplies, along with trinkets, potions, and weapons attached all throughout their equipment.

Sin was forced to be the bag carrier, but thankfully the bags weren't too heavy for him.

When Ince and the others stood, Sin noticed three more figures randomly spread out through the guild also stand.

Everyone walked outside--Sin following the group from the furthest back. As they arrived outside, he saw that Agneil had brought his own carriage with him.

It was the same carriage that Sin had stolen the fatty's clothes from initially when first arriving to this city. He couldn't forget that vehicle even if he wanted.

It was all white with two tall white horses tied to its forefront. Its grandeur exuded more of a pompousness rather than actual prestige.

At this moment, Sin noticed the three figures that had stood up with him and the others walk out of the guild at the same time.

Two of them went opposite directions on the road, while one of them stopped by Ince and whispered something into her ear before bouncing onto a rooftop and leaping away.

As soon as he left, Ince glanced at Sin, "What are you waiting for? Come on!" She waved over.

Sin walked forward, nearing the vehicle that he and Ace were going to ride in. It wasn't nearly as awesome as Agneil's. It was an old wooden cart with no roof and a single small horse drudging it around. However, it was going to do the job for now.

Sin hadn't even expected this from Agneil, so he wasn't going to complain.

'I wonder who those random people were though...' Sin mused, 'I guess it's normal for a large Hunter Group to have spies and scouts scattered around.' He shrugged it off.

It gave him a slightly weird vibe, but again, he was in a place and setting that was unfamiliar to him. He knew that moving forward, he would feel slightly cautious of everything--even though it might be very normal to those who know how things go around the city.

Sin climbed onto the carriage along with the other members of Ace. As soon as he did, Agneil's carriage started to move. His cart followed suit not long afterward.

The journey wasn't going to be short. The dungeon that they were heading towards was a fairly easy one, but it was going to be a large dungeon.

It was a D-Rank dungeon. Usually, these were filled with large beasts and sometimes even things such as ogres which were slightly intelligent creatures.

It wasn't easy as pie, like F-Grade dungeons which would only have wolves and goblins and such. Still, this was something that even a couple C-Rank Hunters could take on by themselves.

However, the dungeon they had chosen was a large one. Almost like a labyrinth--according to its description. That would potentially make space for large groups of mobs to gather, which would actually pose a threat even for B-Rank Hunters.
