Silver stared at her phone, eyes wide with shock. Lorenzo had never ended a call on her before. Something was wrong. Her fingers tightened around the device as confusion clouded her mind. Was he upset? Distracted? Or was something serious happening? The thought unsettled her, and her brows furrowed deeply. She quickly reached for the landline and dialed Henry's number.
"Henry, I need Lorenzo's house address," she said firmly.
Henry chuckled on the other end. "Worried about him, are we?"
Silver scoffed, though her heart was still unsettled. "I just need to check on him. Something doesn't feel right."
"Right, right," Henry teased, but when Silver didn't laugh, he sighed. "Fine, I'll send it over."
Silver exhaled, running a hand through her hair. Her mind replayed Lorenzo's voice, how off it sounded. A part of her told her to leave it alone, but another part—the part that knew how much he had done for her—refused to ignore the unease twisting in her gut.
