Silver blinked. Twice. Her mouth opened, then closed, then opened again.
"You did what?"
She wanted to scream. She could already picture her wardrobe ransacked, her carefully folded clothes tossed about by Henry's overenthusiastic hands. The audacity of him!
"You broke into my house?" she said, voice shrill.
"Not broke," Henry replied, casually sitting on the couch. "Borrowed. And I had your keys. You gave them to me once, remember? When your door was jammed."
"That was one time! For five minutes!"
Just then, Riccardo walked into the room wearing a black tank top, a towel draped over his shoulder, his tattoos dancing beneath the low lights. He looked like he had just stepped off a battlefield, yet his expression was bright and relaxed.
He looked between Silver and Henry, then smirked.
"So this is what all the noise is about," he said. Then he turned to Silver and added, "Don't stress so much, sister-in-law. You're not escaping this family that easily."
Silver froze.
