"Alexis?" Keelion rushed his way towards his room.
He's had the entire thing settled, well at least for now. And as for Althea, her case was something he was going to treat much later.
His priority right now was Alexis.
He'd felt her—her emotions, and she'd seemed to be hurting. But then all of a sudden, he couldn't really feel it anymore. It was as if the awareness of her presence was drifting farther and farther away from him.
"Alexis—" Keelion pushed the door open and the words died in his throat immediately.
Alexis wasn't here. Her scent was faint. But her scent wasn't the only thing he could perceive. He could smell more than one other distinctive scent. Someone other than Alexis had been in his room.
His face screwed shut into a tight frown and he slowly closed the door.
"Alexis?"
He looked around the room. The bathroom, everywhere possible, but he couldn't find her.
