100,000 years have passed since Naruto was sealed away it's now the time of X300 it's another century before Acnologia is born and Zeref decides to help teach the world magic it's the time of the Dragons when they're at their strongest they occasionally fight each other to see who's stronger or for territory but they don't kill each other only those who are a lost cause and try to wreak havoc.
They also don't really like humans all that much especially after they started hunting dragons for sport 1,000 years ago lately though one dragon has been getting visions of a very powerful man who if trained properly could make the dragons the strongest species on earth so he shares his visions with the other dragons at first they didn't believe him until they saw his visions for themselves.
The problem is that they don't know how to find him yet they can only wait for more visions they come but they're afraid at what they see a man with yellow hair blue eyes whisker marks orange armor black blades and an orange energy that they've never seen before lying in a box in a mountain surrounded by a constant blizzard they decide to leave him alone.
They ignore the rest of the visions and go back to their lives but are afraid that it will happen that a human being will become a Black dragon and wipe out half of the dragon population in another century their worst fears come true when Acnologia destroys half of the dragons the other half use various ways to hide themselves from him and the world.

It's been several years since the dragon wars things have returned to a relatively good and peaceful place in history except for on this day 5 dragon slayers woke up to find their dragons missing they also were left with a few scrolls on what they were learning and a map telling them where to go.
Natsu's map lead him to Fairy Tail Sting and Rouge were lead to Sabertooth Gajeel was lead to Phantom and Wendy was lead to Cait Shelter all in all the journey took them 4 months to reach their destinations their journeys were grueling but worth it in the end.
Cait Shelter
Wendy made it to her destination but she realized that she has a lot of stuff to learn so she tries to learn everything she can from those in the village they teach her several things and only a few things about magic:
Hunting
Fishing
Guild hierarchy / politics
How to run a business
Illusion magic
Barrier magic
Healing magic
Trap magic
It took her several months to master everything the only thing that they couldn't help her with was elemental magic when they tested her she was shown to have Water and an ability to learn other types of magic for now they get her the beginners book to wind magic she reads it like it's a Bible and studies it daily.
After finding Carla her white cat or Exceed who has lost her memory Wendy's magic reserves double but she doesn't stop there she continues to practice everything else she has learned until she runs out of magic to make sure that she can make sure that her reserves grow to that of an C rank wizard.
She succeeded but one day the chief saw her reach that level and he shook his head in disappointment then instructs the weakest member of the tribe to spar with her he agreed so does Wendy and she gets knocked out in one blow when she wakes up she sees the chief sitting there with a disappointed look on his face and she doesn't like it.
The chief tells her that it takes more than magic to win a fight that's why I've been setting up your matches in a special barrier that negates magic just to see what you're capable of from now on you're going to wear a bracelet that will hold back your magic until you can reach the same level that you currently are in your magic abilities.
Needless to say she is shocked but agrees then begins her physical training as well as combat training they teach her how to fight with a spear and with hand to hand this goes on for 4 years they teach her how to combat a variety of fighting styles and weapons eventually one day while sparring her bracelet explodes thus unleashing a huge thing of magic that despite only being C rank is still quite powerful the tribe raise their hands and add their own power to it then directs back to wendy.
Her reserves grow from that of an infant to that of a teenager after the seal was broken and years of training it takes some getting used to having all this energy but she practices some techniques to control her new abilities and increase the strength of her attacks it's not long before they are running out of things to teach her the final thing that they teach her is they're ultimate technique how to seal something away with magic to do this she has to synergize her magical energies perfectly with Carla her white cat companion it takes a few months but they do it while doing so they figured out that the excess energy Wendy has can be used to increase Carla's reserves and overall power thus making them equal in power and able to both grow stronger together.
Phantom Lord
Gajeel made it to his new home the rival of Fairy Tail Phantom Lord little did he know that his new home has become a dark guild along with several others that are intending on doing some very bad things like the destruction of the legitimate guilds.
Ignorant of what he is about to be doing the lesser guild members begin seeing what he's made of first before the beginning his training even testing his academic knowledge and find out that he only knows the basics of fighting and book knowledge so they begin training him in several subjects and ways of fighting :

He spends his time not learning his dragon slayer magic doing jobs sparring with guid members and just yesterday he learned from a magic store crystal ball that he has Earth magic so he got every book on the subject he spends time learning everything he can about his new element .
He learned that there was different types of Earth magic rock, mud, sand , lava, wood , and meteor but he found out that due to him being an iron dragon slayer he can't ever use wood or lava magic but he can with enough proficiency in the rest of the other types learn meteor magic which according to the book he's reading the only way to beat it is to use lava magic or a stronger magic of the opposite type.
He spends several months trying to use his magic to make mud and sand the easiest of the two types to learn he gets the hang of just regular rock magic pretty quickly he's doing this training in secret because of the elemental 4 he's trying to surpass the Earth one Sol and take his place even though he's only been at the guild for a year and a half.
After four and half years pass he has successfully completed 4 out of the 6 types of Earth magic including his Iron dragon slayer magic training also he has risen up to a B rank wizard successfully defeating everyone he has come across including beating every guild member who challenged him only opponent left is Sol of the elemental 4 who has been doing nothing for the past 6 years but taking the occasional mission so he doesn't get completely rusty.
Phantom's guild master is wondering why Gajeel has yet to make his move on Sol wondering why he hasn't fought him yet instead of fighting every other guild member he should have beaten him already that is until he starts reading his guild rules stating that in order to challenge someone of higher rank including himself they first have to successfully beat every other member in officially sanctioned matches and must have a referee at each fight.
Jose thinks about it for awhile and says to himself damn I didn't think that bylaw would still exist at least none of my guys got too hurt and setting up every match must have been time consuming I bet that's what he's waiting on the slot to be open so they can fight each other I'll have to see for myself so Sol can actually train for once.
The day of the fight approaches and Sol despite advice didn't do one ounce of training even though he was given 1 year to train he just spent 6 months doing jobs and the rest of the year lazing about Gajeel on the other hand did 3 months of jobs and 3 months of training 3 months spying on Sol watching his habits even when he would spar it was lazily and 3 months of rest.
Everyone in their town is excited for this match so much so that Jose decides to sell tickets in advance as well as merchandise he promotes it and spreads to all the neighboring towns in the first few weeks tickets sold out but he didn't stop there he simply found someone else who had a ticket and made thousands more he did the same thing with the merchandise and increased the size of stadium where they were going to be fighting so everyone would be able to watch the spell on the stadium is temporary only lasting until the fight is over.
The day of the fight has arrived has arrived everyone is super excited some traveled hundreds of miles to get here others closed their businesses to watch the fight those that did were promised to be compensated for their loss of profit for the day the others had their travel expenses paid back to them and free rooms for the night.
It's finally time for the fight Sol has been down in the arena since he got here because he didn't want to move Gajeel wanted to eat and get something to drink before his fight so he's been at the concession stand until the fight he made it down to the arena before the deadline with 2 sodas in his hands one open the other sealed he offered the other one to Sol who gladly took it the drank their drinks and waited for everyone to get to their seats.
The referee says I want a nice clean fight here's the rules of the fight you have to follow No:

Destructive magic that can level this place other than that anything goes fight ends with a knockout or I end it if I see that it's just a hopeless one sided beat down if you accept these terms sign the forms.
They sign and date the waivers then they jump away from each other the clock counts down from 10 to 0 after that Gajeel rushes Sol to see what he's made of Sol creates a rock clone to test him as well and after trading blows for a few minutes Sol's clone gets destroyed by an upper cut and a hammer first from Gajeel who then sends a rock at Sol surprising everyone in his guild that he can do Earth magic after that it becomes an Earth magic battle which doesn't last long because Sol can only use 3 types of Earth magic and not that well it's clear that he's only at the beginner level of sand and magic but an intermediate at rock magic it makes no sense where as Gajeel is at the intermediate level of 4 types of Earth magic but he only displays 3 in the end Gajeel wins due to his better skills and superior power.
After everyone goes home they head back to the guild Jose calls Gajeel to his house to talk private about the fight and his future upon watching it a second time he sees that Gajeel was holding back a good deal of his ability so he decides to see how much he has been holding back or if he can be used to fight in the upcoming war.
Gajeel enters the house he sits down they begin talking his master begins telling him that he knows that he held back he doesn't deny it only states that I thought that he would have been 10 times stronger imagine my disappointment that I spent so long training for an opponent who was never more than a novice to begin with seriously if everyone else is like that on the elemental 4 then this guild is toast.
Jose doesn't correct him or scold him because he knows that they've been relying on their special abilities for so long that their actual elemental abilities is either at the same level as Gajeel or weaker than his instead he decides to make Gajeel the leader of the elemental 4 which surprises him but before he can say anything his master says here is the funds to get what you need and you have 10 years to raise them up to your current level he agreed then leaves Jose sends his video to the leader of every dark guild there is then waits for a reply he did the same thing for the other matches that Gajeel was apart of 1 year ago he gets a response from the guild leader precht he says that we've been talking about this new recruit for awhile now and we think that he's better off fighting for money than being involved with us it's clear that his true talents are unleashed in the ring than the battlefield at least this way you'll have one over fairy tail.
Fairy Tail
Natsu finally made it to the guild after enduring thieves the elements untrustworthy people he has become jaded and cynical always suspicious about everyone especially men luckily he managed to keep his possessions hidden and keep his scarf safe he enters the building instantly he regrets it though decides to give it a chance because Igneel told him to come here so he's going to do what he is told.
Upon looking around he can see that it's a really rough and rowdy place people are yelling at each other drinking eating and fighting with each over the dumbest of things yet he can't seem to find anyone who sticks out as the master and there's not one girl in this place little does he know that all of girls decided to go on a job together.
He walks through the guild hall dodging everything and everyone making it to the counter seeing a really old small guy drinking tea and reading a book on myths and legends yet all Natsu can see are the letters on the cover he hasn't learned how to form words yet in his studies he's only 4 years old for crying out loud.
Makarov seeing that someone else is in front of him asks what can I do for you young man Natsu hands him the letter Igneel gave him to give to the Fairy Tail master upon taking it he sees that it's kind of heavy and wonders what's inside he opens it inside is a scroll with fire dragon slayer magic techniques a letter and five shrunk books with the beginner level of each element wasting no time he opens the letter:
Dear Master of Fairy Tail my name is Igneel the "Salamander" I'm a fire dragon if you're reading his then my adoptive son Natsu has made it safely to you not a dark guild and that the rest of the dragons have gone into hiding also something you should know is that the dark guilds don't just wanna be on top they want to resurrect Zeref although according to my brothers and my sister rumors are going around that in the time before Zeref even before our generation of dragons were born there existed a person so powerful that the humans sought power from every race to put him down sadly it's never stated if this legendary warrior was killed or not if he still exists be careful not to anger him i only know that he wears orange armor and carries two swords one last thing Natsu needs more education than what I was able to provide him in only one years time please take care of him if you don't I'll destroy you and your entire country- Sincerely Igneel
After reading the letter a couple of times he can't believe what he just learned that there is someone stronger than Zeref out there and possibly older than all of the guilds put together he decides to begin Natsu's education he takes him to the part of the guild where everyone learns how to read and write normally it would take about 12 years to learn everything but Natsu does it in 4 after that Makarov begins to take him under his wing teaching him:

Other than Makarov he had several teachers like Mystogan and Gildarts every day every one in the guild would try to reach out to Natsu but he just ignored them eventually he left by taking a whole bunch of jobs ranging from F class to D class he took enough jobs to last 4 years by himself Erza and the girls get back 6 months into his jobs they turn in their report and upon seeing the atmosphere Erza goes to talk with the master he's happy to see her but is sad she can tell.
He says while you were gone we got another recruit he's a natural prodigy but something must have happened to him on his way here because he looks at every male member like they should just up and die I've recently learned that he's accepted a whole bunch of jobs meaning that he'll be away from here for a total of 4 years.
Erza couldn't believe what she's hearing after taking everything in she asks what do you want me to do he says keep him in the guild in case you're wondering if we're being over heard no this room is sound proof and immediately destroys any type of listening or recording magic or devices also this job that I'm giving you has no time limit will never be written down it's your first S rank assignment and no you're not going to be paid for this also if he develops feelings for you the assignment is over your goal is to keep him in the guild and gain his trust not toy with his emotions like you do to the females of the guild if i see that you're toying with him ill end you.
She asks why are you being so serious about this one boy what makes him so special that you're willing to kill me to protect him he says this is why but if I show this to you you must swear to never tell anyone else including Mirajane what I'm about to show you not even Natsu has read this yet she swears a blood oath then reads Igneel letter and is shocked then asks are you doing this because you're afraid of the father or because you think that he can handle this threat he says that and I think that you two would eventually make a good couple besides all I'm really saying is to give him a chance everything else is up to you.
She sighs then says cancel the mission he's not stupid but send me to his current missions as backup and his only backup then who knows what can happen also give me a crystal ball and those books that come with his letter I'm curious about my magic type as well he smiles then does so he also hands her the intermediate level books after testing her magic she is not surprised but is somewhat surprised to discover that she has fire/smoke and lightning/ thunder type magic.
He says Natsu probably has the same so here is the books on all 4 types of magic and something else that Natsu needs to master but only give him this scroll when he masters both smoke and fire magic in the books I've given you he can already use one technique from it now make sure that you train him in a weapon while you are away she agrees then packs her stuff and leaves to her destination.
Natsu hasn't been training because he has been spending every day being attacked by bandits and is just further appalled by the depravity of his gender so much so that after he rescues the women and children he destroys the camp with a crush spell that Gildarts taught him killing everyone he heads back to the hotel little did he know that he was being watched by someone who shakes her head and wonders what men could have done to make him like this she gets to the sight of the massacre studies the residue of the spell and is shocked to see that he purposely put the same amount of power in the attack that's no more than a E rank technique barely able to destroy a tree let alone a human being she can tell that he put as much as an B rank technique's worth of magic in the attack making it 20 times stronger than necessary.
After that she eliminates the rest of the enemy for this job at every bandit camp in the area along with rescuing the civilians then she heads to the Inn where he's been staying he opens the door was about to answer rudely until he sees an attractive redhead with scarlet red hair brown eyes a nice figure for her age being that she's only 12 years old he also sees a blue fairy tail guild mark on her shoulder under her armor he lets her in and asks quite rudely who are you what are you doing here and why should I care about what you have to say.
Erza is taken back normally most boys and girls are so enamored with her charming smile and good looks that she rarely has to say anything before they'll make fools of themselves trying to please her and Mira they've even made it a competition as to who can charm the most boys or girls after awhile it got boring so they tried to charm powerful people it worked but sometimes they would have to fight those who had perverted interest in them she's taken out of her musings when she processes the questions he asked.
She gives a smile then says my name is Erza master sent me to be your partner from now on while you're out on jobs so you don't get into trouble also I'm here to help you with learning your magic abilities and to teach you how to use a weapon.
He takes everything that she said in while studying her face body language and tone to see if she was using her looks to kill him like the last few women have recently while on this job not seeing anything he doesn't accept what she says or her intentsions he doesn't even let her in his room or accept her help he just makes a copy of the material she has on her when she's asleep then sneaks away to another job while she slept.
She wakes up the next morning expecting him to be there instead she sees that her stuff was gotten into and she sees that the books she was given aren't the ones she has know these are magically created copies of them they won't disappear or get destroyed unless the creator gets injured or dies she frowns then tries to find him she searches his room but all she finds are every mission that he completed along with a note addressed to her.
Erza,
I hope you understand why I abandoned you but I don't trust you or any member of the human race anymore so I'm going on my own I left you the copies of my books to learn from it's ironic that you would think to teach me with knowledge that rightfully belongs to me anyway I left you how to do Thunder and Fire magic that should help you survive as for learning how to wield a sword maybe I will learn it from you eventually no hard feelings be safe .

Erza doesn't give up however she uses magic to communicate with the guild and finds out every job that Natsu took so she's able to track him down in 6 months she finds him taking out a few monsters she sees him complete his job then heads to the woods once she's sure that they aren't being followed and that they are alone she appears in front of Natsu shocking him he can't believe that she tracked him down he scowls then asks very coldly what do you want she's taken aback as most people are distracted by her good looks to yell at her or even fight her she says I have to train you to acceptable levels before you can wonder on your own he sighs then says fine but afterwards leave me alone she nods.
After getting settled they find a clearing outside of town and before any magic training can begin Erza summons every type of weapon there is asking Natsu to choose he sees the veritable different types of weapons range from axes swords bows and staffs as well as spears Natsu chooses a curved broadsword that separates into two swords similar to a scimitar only with a thicker blade a smaller curve and sharp on both sides for now there's nothing special about it just an ordinary wooden handle with a metal cross guard.
She hands him training swords they look and feel like the real thing only they're completely dull on both sides and will never knick or chip due to the spell on them they begin practicing it is slow at first but Natsu gets pretty good in only one years time he has become a very good swordsman Erza still beats him but he is getting better every day.
They have moved to an island after the sword training so no one can see what they will be learning to do this Natsu helps Erza put up several barriers from the books that the master gave her it took a lot out of them but they did it also they used an Earth spell to create a tunnel from the island with the main land they also hid this tunnel away from prying eyes so none could find it.
To make money they completed several low level jobs way below their skill level and the 3 year job by the time they were done they received a letter saying that they didn't need to do them anymore that the F class to E rank jobs are all complete it also said that the D class jobs were also done so they could continue training.
Along with the letter was their pay for the jobs they have completed it took them 3 months to complete all of those jobs now they can begin their magic training they begin with Thunder magic it seems that each type of magic is broken down in steps to control it better:
Step 1- make a loud sound like fire crackers
Step 2- make a static charge
Step 3- make an electric arc
Step 4 - shock the water source near you
Lightning Magic
Step 1- crinkle a leaf
Step 2- light a light bulb
Step 3 - drain energy from the water source you shocked
Step 4 - create a form of electricity
Smoke Magic
Step 1- douse a campfire and move the smoke
Step 2- make shapes out of the smoke
Step 3 - absorb the smoke
Step 4 - unleash a huge amount of smoke
Fire Magic
Step 1- burn a leaf
Step 2- light a campfire
Step 3 - control the flames
Step 4 - make them more powerful
They get started on thunder magic right away because these steps are just the titles for the chapters not what you should be doing exactly upon further reading there's a bunch of mini steps leading up to the Big ones listed as the chapter titles so they do everything that the book says.
They reach up to the intermediate level in 2 types of magic Erza is an intermediate at thunder magic and lightning Natsu is an intermediate at smoke and thunder they haven't stopped their training not until they learn everything which will take them another 2 years like it did before they teach each other what they've learned then once they have done that they move onto fire.
After going through the books on fire they discover that once you become powerful enough you can change not only the shape of your flame but the color of it this makes them happy and after learning all of the shapes they begin trying to change their flame different colors they both go through the rainbow Erza chooses a blueberry blue and Natsu chooses cherry red after that they practice making their color flame more powerful than the rest of what they have so far they do this by making smoke clones of themselves and launching fire attacks at themselves while making their flame stronger they even switch it up and fight each other's clones.
Before they leave Erza tells him that there's still 2 more pieces of training that we have to do she takes his weapons and uses them to make his swords one fire the other lightning along with transforming them the first sword is red with black in the center of the blade has a white dragon with a metal handle with red cloth wrapped around it with a dragon cross guard looking like it's going to eat the blade the next one is dark yellow with a white center has a black dragon with metal handle dark yellow cloth wrapped around the handle with a dragon cross guard looking like it's going to eat the blade.
She tells him that these blades have elemental magic inside them he is shocked but understands then begins working on controlling their power as well as how to use them as normal weapons it takes him 6 months but he does it seeing that he accomplished everything in half of the time that she thought he would she gives him his dragon slayer scrolls which he is shocked that they still exist.
She says please don't get mad but Master wanted you to be more knowledgeable in terms of magic before I gave you these scrolls back he said that you should grow as a wizard before you see what's in these scrolls and learn everything that your father wanted to teach you.
After that he scowls at her then starts at the beginner level all over again until he completes the last scroll it takes forever but the results are worth it they even included a fighting style that Erza helped him master (Natsu's canon fighting style) after completing their training they head back to Magnolia the city of Fairy Tail 2 years earlier than expected and 100 times stronger than ever.
Upon reaching the guild after several years away people are a little afraid of both Natsu and Erza but eventually they go back to how they were after walking past everyone they greet Makarov who can easily tell that they've both become really powerful thus making him wonder if he should get back to training.
After getting settled and reacquainted with everyone Natsu goes to the job board looks at the job postings then walks up to Makarov annoyed asking old man what's up with the jobs we just completed the pile up 3 years ago why is it this bad already and why isnt anyone taking F class to B class jobs there's so many that the boxes are bursting upon hearing this Erza scowls also annoyed with Natsu's observation.
Makarov sighs then says because this is the month long cakes cookies and pies festival that only comes around once a year in April it's natural for jobs to pile up during this time of year and afterwards even the laziest members go out on jobs so they can earn money for the baking competition that the bakeries have at the last day of the month April just started today so people are taking a break and tomorrow they will go out on jobs so they can afford to eat at the festival and pay their tabs.
After hearing this Erza has a nostalgic look on her face she remembers the last bakery festival that she went to the cookies cakes and pies were out of this world delicious now if she can just get Natsu to go with her she'll be a happy girl Natsu however was intrigued and asked are they any good everyone stopped talking dropped what they were doing then ran up to him praising everything that they had making him uncomfortable.
After that Natsu goes to the job board again grabs 40 jobs ranging from F class to C class each one ranging from the easiest jobs there is to the hardest in each class he goes alone without Erza being the wiser she goes to the job board grabs 100 jobs ranging from F class to C class hers were a little bit easier than Natsu's because hers were all in town where as Natsu's were from all over the continent she and Mirajane both got them done in a week with clones they spent the last 3 weeks enjoying the festivities and the food while everyone else worked until the last 2 weeks just so they could pay off their debts and go to the festival.
It wasn't until after the festival that Erza realized that Natsu took off again she sighs then tries to see what jobs he took but because they were already in the overflow bin they weren't written down so she curses halfway through his missions Natsu encounters mystogan again he learns how to combine Mystogan's sleep spell with his smoke magic he learned a little water magic so he could turn it into a fog instead of harsh smoke Mystogan helped him perfect his spell he also helped get him master a memory erasing spell Mystogan however made sure to protect Makarov and Erza from it all it does is make them forget what Natsu looks like Natsu casts it on the members of Fairy Tail when he knows that the likes of Makarov Gildarts Laxus Mystogan and Erza aren't there.
Sabretooth
Sting and Rogue had no problems reaching their destination in fact it was easy for them to do so also their guild master treated them like royalty and gave them anything they wanted they were pampered and given every advantage over everyone else except his daughter Minerva but she isn't a push over in fact she's the strongest in the guild not counting her father so she's in charge of training every memberhow to be wizards she taught them how to read and write how to survive in the wild how to fight how to use magic and lastly how to use their dragon slayer abilities they even were made into every type of dragon slayer.
