While I felt an odd sense of relief knowing Odessa was back safe and sound, I hadn't expected that the concoction Elder Davina made for wolfsbane poisoning would work well enough to wake Alpha King Leonardo.
"Looks like you're going to be busy." Celine suddenly muttered, forcing me to turn my gaze to her.
She had a mischievous smirk on her face, causing me to clench my jaw before I responded to Layla.
"Tell him I'm on my way." I blurted to Layla before I hung up, my gaze now fixed completely on Celine.
She took a few steps forward, causing me to physically recoil. That recoil only worsened when she stretched her hands forward to touch my face, but she didn't seem to care about my reactions as she brought her mouth to my ears.
