Chapter 180 - Chapter 180: Sage of Six Paths

Inside the palace.

"No."

"Why not?"

Danzo looked at Kaguya in surprise.

Just yesterday, she had been embracing him with a motherly tenderness.

But today, she was talking about planting the Divine Tree and turning all of humanity into its nourishment.

"Don't worry. The two women from last night can stay. If you want more, you can have as many as you like. Mother doesn't mind…" As she spoke, she gently stroked Danzo's face, her tone teasing yet affectionate.

Danzo felt a trace of awkwardness but quickly dismissed unnecessary thoughts.

"Our current strength has already reached the pinnacle of this world. Even Hagoromo wouldn't be able to defeat us. There's no need to do this."

"I'm not worried about Hagoromo..."

Seeing the trace of concern on Kaguya's face, Danzo immediately understood what she was truly afraid of.

But he was confident that with his strength, he would be more than capable of dealing with the arrival of beings from beyond the stars before the story unfolded.

He took her hand, reassuring her.

"Don't worry... Even at the very last moment, I will stand by your side and protect you, Mother."

Kaguya's eyes still held hesitation, prompting Danzo to tighten his grip.

"I like this world. I don't want to see it destroyed."

They stared at each other for a long time before Kaguya finally smiled softly and once again caressed Danzo's face.

"Alright, I'll listen to you."

Danzo let out a quiet sigh of relief.

If Kaguya had insisted on her path, he would have had no choice but to seal her away once more in his own way.

But that would not only render all his efforts in unsealing her meaningless, it would also ruin his plans of using Kaguya to locate the Sage of Six Paths.

...

In the following days, Danzo did not remain in the daimyo's residence. Instead, he took Kaguya on leisurely strolls through the capital, indulging in the delicacies and culture of the Land of Wind.

For someone who had been sealed for a thousand years, everything felt novel and intriguing.

She never again spoke of annihilating humanity.

...

Above a remote island far from the continent—

Black orbs etched with intricate runes slowly floated around Danzo.

"It's time."

Kaguya's regal robes billowed despite the absence of wind. She pressed her hands together.

Six Paths: Bloodline Summoning Technique

Space distorted violently, and a figure materialized in front of them.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

"Finally, he appears." The black spheres behind Danzo shot toward Otsutsuki Hamura, twelve in total.

The orbs formed a massive, rotating circle around Otsutsuki Hagoromo, orbiting like miniature stars.

His Tenseigan flashed.

Each moving orb left behind streaks of glowing runes in space before vanishing. The surrounding space locked down, sealing everything within.

This was a technique Danzo had specifically developed to deal with this old schemer. Not only did it seal space, but it was also particularly effective against spiritual entities.

"You... this is... Mother?!" The floating, cross-legged figure of Otsutsuki Hagoromo finally reacted.

Seeing her once-eldest son, Kaguya's expression darkened.

The pain of being sealed and betrayed surged back into her heart.

"You again..." Hagoromo's gaze landed on Danzo, his expression twisting into something unreadable. His face grew grim.

Danzo's actions had far exceeded his expectations.

Not only had he grown immensely powerful, but he had also managed to release Kaguya.

And now, he had forcibly dragged Hagoromo's soul from the Pure Land.

He tried sensing the surrounding space, but his consciousness was met with nothingness. Even the Pure Land was unreachable.

"I am the one who created peace and order. Why do you seek to disrupt it?" A sacred, imposing aura radiated from him as the Staff manifested in his hands.

Danzo shot him a glance and sneered.

"Peace and order? Looks like spending all these years in the Pure Land has made you delusional."

He had no intention of continuing the conversation. Turning to Kaguya, he said, "Prepare the seal."

Danzo's aura surged to its peak, and Kaguya's power flared alongside his.

Although devouring Hagoromo outright was an option, Danzo had considered all possibilities and decided on the safest approach—sealing him first before slowly refining his essence.

"Mother, don't be deceived! His soul is unnatural—he is an outsider!" Hagoromo shouted as he hurled the Staff at Danzo.

When the attack struck, the runes flared brightly, and a massive sphere manifested, blocking the attack.

Clang! The staff rebounded, returning to Hagoromo's hand.

Kaguya's aura flickered for a brief moment, but it quickly surged again.

"Unfilial son..."

"Accept your fate. Even if you surpass the Six Paths level, escaping my carefully designed seal in a short time will be impossible."

As their energies peaked, Danzo and Kaguya positioned themselves on either side of Hagoromo, trapping him in the middle.

For the first time, a flicker of panic crossed Hagoromo's face.

He recognized this technique.

It required two Six Paths-level forces, continuously circulating power, forming an incredibly stable seal.

If he were sealed this time, there might be no escape.

In that fleeting moment, a decisive thought flashed through his mind.

His Rinnegan gleamed, and the once-ethereal form of his soul began to shift.

Two smaller, childlike shadows appeared beside him, merging with his Rinnegan as they overlapped his figure.

Like two misaligned spatial projections stacking on top of each other.

Slowly, their figures solidified.

And Hagoromo's own soul grew faint and illusory.

Until finally, he vanished completely.

Everything changed—except for the pair of Rinnegan that remained in place.

Where Otsutsuki Hagoromo had stood just moments ago, an old man had been replaced by two children.
