"Next up, we have Sportsmaster," Broker announced, his voice even but tinged with amusement. "However, I believe he thinks we don't know his true identity."
Nuxsus arched a brow, lounging back in his chair. "Well, I don't… So, out with it."
"He is the father of the assassin known as Cheshire. I believe he might be here for vengeance."
"Oh?" Nuxsus grinned. "That's interesting. Let him in."
Broker nodded, signaling for Darius to bring the man in. Moments later, the infamous Sportsmaster strode into the room. He was built like a war machine—broad, muscular, and radiating raw physicality. Despite the ski mask obscuring his face, his body language spoke volumes. He was cautious but confident, like a seasoned predator entering unknown territory.
Nuxsus, however, was impressed for an entirely different reason. A mere human standing before him with such presence, such seasoned experience—it was rare. It was amusing.
"So," Nuxsus drawled, his crimson eyes glinting with curiosity. "Let's get to it, shall we? What is it that you desire, Sportsmaster?" His grin widened.
The mercenary crossed his arms. "Power." His voice was steady, cold. "Power to achieve vengeance. And I heard you can get me that." He paused, then smirked slightly. "I also need money. A lot of money."
Nuxsus nodded slowly, drumming his fingers against his armrest. "Interesting. Well then! I'll accept you in! But under one condition…"
Sportsmaster tensed slightly. "And what's that?"
A sharp whistle cut through the air—then a sudden piercing pain exploded in his back.
"AGHHH!" Sportsmaster's body jerked, his eyes widening in shock as he stumbled forward. Blood pooled from the blade protruding from his back. He gritted his teeth, snarling, "Why…?"
"Oh, nothing really," Nuxsus mused nonchalantly. "You won't die, don't worry about that." He gestured to Artoria, who stepped forward and effortlessly hauled the struggling man toward a darkened part of the room.
From his seat, Nuxsus raised his palm, dark crimson energy beginning to drip from his fingers. "You'll just become extremely loyal." His grin turned predatory, his voice laced with wicked amusement. "So loyal, in fact, that I will make you forget all about your little dead daughter."
Sportsmaster's eyes flared with rage. "YOU BASTARD—!"
But before he could move, the energy surged. Tendrils of dark crimson wrapped around him, tightening, compressing, consuming. His body convulsed violently as the cocoon engulfed him whole.
A heartbeat later—it burst.
Smoke and energy dissipated, revealing a changed man. His posture was no longer defiant—he knelt before Nuxsus, his once-defiant aura replaced with unwavering loyalty.
His voice was deep, reverent. "My Lord."
{New Blood Knight: Lawrence Crock}
Nuxsus laughed, standing up from his chair. "Alright! Another pawn added to the board." He turned to Broker, eyes gleaming with sadistic amusement.
...
The day had stretched long, a parade of desperate, power-hungry, and foolishly overconfident individuals filing through the doors of Nuxsus' domain. Not all came with good intentions, but that didn't matter. By the time they left, intentions were irrelevant.
The first group had been the easiest to handle—the Loyalist Women. Weak-willed, desperate, and oh-so-eager to surrender, they crumbled under his influence with little effort.
Livewire was the first to fall. Despite her sharp tongue and electric abilities, she was pathetically easy to control once her body betrayed her. The moment pleasure overwhelmed her, she stopped thinking altogether.
Then there was Silver Banshee—far more interesting. The moment she broke, she didn't just surrender; she enjoyed it. Her ragged breaths, the way she trembled, the slight quiver in her voice when she whispered, "M-More..." made it abundantly clear. A fetish, Nuxsus realized with amusement. How delightful.
But the most fascinating one had been Knockout. She had fought him, harder than the others. A warrior at heart, she resisted not through sheer will, but through instinct.
"I don't submit to men like you," she had growled, crimson hair wild, her muscular form shifting into a battle stance.
Nuxsus had merely smiled. "Then prove it."
The battle had been exhilarating, a raw display of power and skill. But in the end, she had fallen. When his foot pressed against her back, pinning her to the cold floor, she had panted, exhausted. Yet instead of rage, she had smirked.
"A warrior submits to the stronger," she had said, her voice husky with something almost like excitement. And just like that, she offered herself to him, spine arched in complete submission.
Nuxsus had chuckled. A worthy addition.
Then came the Monsters.
Plasmus had been the first. The melting, writhing creature was an unsightly mass of molten flesh and acid, but beneath his grotesque exterior was something pathetic. The moment Nuxsus released even a fraction of his aura, the creature had collapsed, quivering, his bubbling mass flattening against the floor.
"P-Power... I-I just want to be stronger!" Plasmus had begged, his voice a distorted whimper.
Nuxsus had stepped forward, watching as the creature trembled. "Then you will be." And just like that, another monster joined his ranks.
Then there was Solomon Grundy.
He didn't beg. He didn't even falter.
The first time they fought, Nuxsus had killed him. The second time, he had done it again. And the third. And the fourth. But Grundy always came back. Always laughed.
"You strong," Grundy had rumbled after the tenth fight, grinning despite the fresh wounds on his undead flesh. "Grundy follow strongest."
Nuxsus had stared at him for a moment before grinning back. "Then you'll follow me."
And that was that.
Then there was Brutale. A pathetic man in many ways, but one who relished in bloodshed. He spoke of murder like a poet spoke of love, an obsession that made even the monsters beside him sneer in disgust.
"I am a brutal force of destruction! A monster!" he had declared.
Nuxsus had simply shoved him into a cage with Grundy.
When the door reopened, Brutale was on his knees, bloodied, broken—but still smiling.
"I was right." He had laughed, spitting out a tooth. "I belong here."
The last few challengers weren't the type to break easily, but that only made their downfall more satisfying.
Blockbuster was first. The brute had arrived with confidence, thinking he could negotiate.
"We can make a deal, Valtieri," he had said, arms crossed over his massive chest. "You get power, I get power—mutual benefit."
Nuxsus had simply smiled. "I don't make deals. You serve, or you die."
Blockbuster had fought. He was tough, durable—but it didn't matter. In mere moments, he was on his back, broken, burned. And when he finally felt death creeping in, his pride shattered.
"F-Fuck… I don't… wanna die."
Nuxsus leaned over him, voice smooth. "Then live as mine."
And just like that, another Blood Knight was born.
{New Blood Knight: Roland Desmond (Blockbuster)}
Then came Devastation. She was hoping to serve a worthy man...But...Nuxsus had no interest in making her a Loyalist. She wasn't attractive enough for that. He had planned to just kill her, but she was strong—strong enough to be useful.
"I will not be tamed!" she had roared, fists slamming into the ground, causing the entire room to tremble.
Nuxsus had dodged her attacks with ease, toying with her. Eventually, she **fell—**not in submission, but in exhaustion.
"Damn… you…" she had growled, trying to rise.
"Relax," Nuxsus had said, stepping over her. "You're not worth bending the knee, but you're worth keeping."
Then, he turned her.
{New Blood Knight: Dysaia (Devastation)}
And finally—Black Alice.
She had walked in prepared. Not because she knew what he was doing, but because she was paranoid. her goal was Raven, she knew that the witch had some sort of new magic...And she'd get it Through Nuxsus....But when he started his Dark whispers and his charm engulfed her...She knew he was scary
"I don't trust you," she had said immediately, keeping her mind blank.
Nuxsus had smirked. "Smart girl."
He had wanted to make her a Loyalist. She was attractive, powerful, and a perfect addition to his personal collection. But with her mind blank, his usual method of control was useless.
"I know you're trying something," she had muttered, eyes narrowing. "I don't know what, but I'm not letting it work."
Nuxsus had clicked his tongue in mild annoyance. "A shame, really. You could've enjoyed this."
Since he couldn't take her mind, he took her body instead.
As a vampire, she couldn't resist.
{New Vampire Witch: Lori Zechlin (Black Alice)}
And with that, the last of them had fallen.
The doors opened one last time, and the Broker stepped in, ushering in the final guest of the day. She moved like she owned the room, confidence radiating from her every step. Her emerald skin, deep red hair, and intoxicating presence made it clear—this was no ordinary woman.
Then, she grinned.
"Hi, Harley… Did you miss me, love?"
Before anyone could react, Harley shot up from her seat like a rocket, squealing as she launched herself forward.
"PUDDIN'!" she shrieked, wrapping her arms around Poison Ivy in a crushing hug. "I missed ya sooooo much!"
Ivy chuckled, hugging her back, but her eyes never left Nuxsus. She was studying him, measuring him. Judging him.
Meanwhile, Harley was already rambling at full speed.
*"Look, look! This is Nuxsy! He's the best of the best of the best of the best EVER! Sweet, caring, he loves me, gives me gifts, **fucks me like a pro—*oh, OH! Did I mention HE FUCKS WELL?! Oh yeah! And guess what? He helped me kill Joker! Neat, right?!"
Nuxsus chuckled, amused by her boundless enthusiasm. But Ivy just rolled her eyes.
"Alright, relax, relax, Harley." She pulled away slightly, crossing her arms. "While he's got you entranced… I still don't know if I like him or not. After all, he stole you from me."
Nuxsus raised an eyebrow and turned to Harley. "You had two lovers?"
Harley simply shrugged. "Ivy's just a fling."
"I am NOT a fling!" Ivy snapped.
Harley just grinned and draped herself over Nuxsus, playfully rubbing against his chest. "Look, baby, Nuxsy is my everything now. If ya join me in servin' him, you'll have ultimate pleasure."
Ivy's expression darkened. "I don't serve men."
Nuxsus smirked. "Then why are you here?"
At that, Ivy's lips curled into a mischievous smirk. She stepped forward, placing a single finger on his chest as she looked up at him, her voice silky and smooth.
"Well… I have some information I'm willing to share with you. But think of this as an investment…"
Her grin widened.
"I know about the Justice League's next move regarding you… Oh, and it involves the League of Villains."
