"Let's go then."
"That's not them though, that's Myth." I said while looking at the five people exiting the door onto the red carpet.
It was Phoenix at the front, Vampiress, Angel, Cupid and Werewolf behind him. They walked out unscathed and heads straight, confidently marching forward on the red carpet to maintain their dignity as the second place team in the tournament.
Outside the red carpet was swarmed by fans to the brim, there were hands reaching through the barrier that rose from the ground to try to touch Myth or ask them for an autograph, but all were ignored promptly.
Though Myth remained unwavered and ignorant to the requests from fans, the enthusiasm never died down until Myth reaches the elevators to exit the stadium.
"Guillotine is receiving the passes back into life, they'll also come out of that door, might as well go right now." My uncle explains.
"Oh."
The crowd near the door has partially dispersed, most followed Myth to the elevator lobby. Since Guillotine is still easily the more eminent and popular alliance, and that it's literally the victor, there's still a considerable crowd waiting for their arrival at the door.
Now that we're at the centre of the stadium, the huge holographic figures that is the hosts aren't ahead of us, but around us, which looked absolutely surreal.
It actually feels kinda great, being surrounded by cute girls that are all like 20 story tall. They're fake, holographic and all but still, it feels great.
We squeezed through the crowd by the door until we're nearly at the barrier. The barrier was a transparent wall with an opening in the middle, allowing hands to slip in, so that fans can touch the players and ask for autographs.
"Alright! The winners, Guillotine will now receive the ultimate prize of Afterlife Tournament! Five....Life Passes!" The hosts announced as five holograms appear above the host's hands. There were five hosts, each of them was holding one, it's a hologram of a golden ticket.
Fair to assume that's the 'pass back into life' the earpiece has mentioned all the time.
"Yes it is." Thanks for the confirmation, telepathic earpiece.
The five golden tickets then compressed and shrank into a smaller size, they flew off the hosts hand, floated to the middle of the stadium and fell down on the red carpet in front the door gracefully.
The once massive holographic golden tickets as if materialised and turned into a regular sized ticket dropping on the red carpet. That's a weird way to present the ultmate prize to the winners...
Then there they were.
"OH MY GODD!!"
"SILENCER PLEASE LET ME INTO THE ALLIANCE!!"
"LET ME IN PLEASE!!!"
The crowd cried, it's as Eleanor explained, this alliance is a lottery in this game and everyone flocks towards it.
Silencer wasn't bothered by the noises, he knelt down to collect the tickets and like magic, the tickets evaporated from his hand.
"Congratulations! Player Mya Webb, Player Gary Flores, Player Gavin Sutton, Player Michael Lim, Player Marvin Felix, you will be able to return to life as soon as you enter the games!" The hosts announced.
He used the tickets, but the five players still has to enter the game before returning to life, they don't just teleport or by some other magical method. All the more proof this game isn't real.
The rest of the members in Guillotine was far more cheerful, giving friendly waves and warm smiles to their fans surrounding them on the red carpet.
Only silencer, who has that same threatening face on. He turned to his left, which is the side I'm at, but he wasn't looking at me, he was looking at five players that didn't seem like fans.
Me being close, managed to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Remember, don't immediately enter the games, investigate it a bit, write down your thoughts on a paper and slip it under the door to us."
I knew it, they're investigating the game. As to why they don't use the passes on themselves so they can investigate themselves, well, the second they leave with the pass, they're gone from this game, there won't be another chance to find out the truth.
This was also the first time I heard silencer's voice, it's surprising soft, it's a soft gentle voice that doesn't fit his fierce and serious face at all.
'Slip it under a door' probably mean when they're in the cylindrical glass chamber in the rooms of the game lobby, the door will be automatically locked, no one else can enter. And it's soundproof, I tested it myself, couldn't hear my uncle's screams through the door and I left him outside.
'Slip it under the door' doesn't mean the door of the room, but the door of the cylindrical glass chamber. They'll leave the paper in the room of the game lobby, when they returned into life the door of the room will be automatically unlocked, that's when Guillotine goes in for their information.
"Silencer!" I shouted, but it blended perfectly into the surrounding crowd's screaming, I couldn't even hear my own sound.
"That won't work." Eleanor said before precisely maneuvering her way through the crowd and to right in front of the barrier.
She stuck her hand in and gave Guillotine a middle finger, that's one way to get attention.
It didn't catch silencer's attention, but the rest of the more cheerful and energetic members noticed.
"Well, that's not nice." Bullet said.
"That's Shockwave, the new second place!" Magazine exclaimed.
Eleanor then turns her middle finger into an index, pointing towards me. Successfully, she turned the attention of Guillotine members onto me.
"I know-" Wait, I can't shout that, in this crowd there's bound to be at least one Mage, silencer himself is one, that means the presence of wiretaps on invisible drones. The second I let the information slip, I'm dead.
"Hold on!" I ended up shouting that, then turned to my uncle to ask, "Got a pen and paper?"
"Why would I have that?"
"Here!" Kenneth has it, he took it out from his inventory and handed it to me.
"Thanks." I quickly scribbled down words while Eleanor keeps them interested.
"Sorry man! We appreciate you as our fans though!" Bullet said.
"Just wait a second and hear him out." Eleanor asserted through the barrier. Being the second strongest player, she has the respect of Guillotine, except for silencer, who continued walking forward towards the elevator lobby.
"I'm not tall enough, raise this so they can see it." I asked my uncle.
"Oh."
Ken didn't give me a pen and paper, he gave me better, a whiteboard with markers.
Written on it is "Don't say a word, I know the secrets of the game."
"Alright put it down now, they've seen it." I ordered, I can't risk anyone else seeing the message, they might be stupid and voice what's written.
Indeed, the four members saw my message, all their eyes widen and bullet's jaw dropped. Magazine rushed forward to silencer to halt his steps and inform him of my message.
But then she remembered the 'Don't say a word' part of my message, so what she did was she stopped him, turned his head around and pointed at my uncle.
"Raise it again for like 2 seconds." I ordered and my uncle followed.
The crowd remained oblivious of what's happening, they're completely blinded by their excitement of the legendary alliance in front of them.
When silencer saw the message, it didn't take him a second after he laid his eye on the board for him to react.
That was the first time I see silencer display emotions. Compared to the other Guillotine members, his reaction is even more animated, even more shocked.
