Before leaving, Rhodes thought for a moment and decided to take an old set of Terminator power armor from the warehouse with him.
This set of Terminator combat power armor was a prototype. It had been created when the Super Space Marine Terminator armor was being developed, as a test model modified by Salome using the Empire version. Only minor repairs and modifications had been made.
It was a size smaller than the ones currently worn by the Super Space Marines under Rhodes' command, allowing it to be worn by a Primaris Marine of average size. Moreover, it could be connected without needing a black carapace.
The most critical reason for taking this armor was that it bore an Imperial Aquila emblem.
Despite some modifications and repairs, it was still an Imperial version of Terminator power armor.
"Master, I have killer combat armor protecting me; I don't need to wear this garbage power armor," the Chaos Daemon Slayer said, looking at the Terminator power armor in front of him, speaking somewhat speechlessly.
This set of Terminator power armor wasn't even as good as the ones worn by the grunts! What was the master thinking by taking it out? Surely he wouldn't wear it himself?
"This power armor is prepared just in case. We may not have to use it, but it's good to be prepared. I plan to go with you on this mission," Rhodes said.
The Chaos Daemon Slayer nodded. Together, the two teleported via bracelets and soon arrived at the rendezvous point with the Harlequins.
This time, Rhodes even brought along a small Pedan-class ship. He didn't plan to take the Harlequins' ship.
"Lord Loki, so you're joining us on this mission? And you even brought your ship!" Seth responsible for liaising with Rod asked.
"That's right! Even though we'll be traveling through the Webway, my ship is much faster than yours. Let's go! Board my ship. All you need to do is mark the exact route," Rhodes instructed, calling the group of Harlequins onto his small Pedan-class vessel.
For this covert operation, using the Harlequins' ship would make it easy for Chaos Daemons or the Grey Knights to identify them. However, no one would recognize his Pedan-class ship.
"No problem, Lord Loki. Then let's set off!"
Rhodes nodded and boarded his small Pedan-class ship. After the Harlequins entered the precise coordinates into the ship, it headed deep into the Webway.
Along the way, several Harlequins curiously observed the Chaos Daemon Slayer. However, though curious, they refrained from asking about the Daemon Slayer's origins, as the Laughing God had instructed them not to question this individual and to simply carry out their mission.
The Chaos Daemon Slayer had no intention of replying either, sitting in a reduced-size form on the ship and meditating silently.
After several hours of travel, the Pedan-class ship arrived at a hidden location in the Webway, where a Harlequin ship was already waiting. A Webway gate was opened.
Rhodes piloted the Pedan-class ship out of the Webway and into an unfamiliar star system.
Once they reached orbit above a planet, Seth immediately began briefing Rod on the situation. The planet was an Imperial hive world.
The planet wasn't particularly large, with a population of over 5 billion. There were no Forge Worlds nearby, only a few mining satellites.
"This is the place, Lord Loki. As per your request, we specifically selected a world invaded by Slaanesh daemons.
Aside from the ordinary Daemonettes troops, there are two Chaos Champions here.
One is a Chaos Space Marine warband of about 500 members, along with a large number of Chaos cultists.
The other is a group of corrupted Sisters of Battle who have formed a Slaanesh Sisterhood.
The planetary governor of this world, along with its nobles, secretly joined a Chaos cult to worship the dark god.
About a decade ago, they established contact with the Chaos Space Marine warband and have been secretly funding them ever since.
Not long ago, under the temptation of the corrupted Slaanesh Sisters, they conducted a sacrificial ritual.
Using the souls of countless ordinary civilians, they opened a psychic rift connected to the Warp, summoning a Slaanesh daemon army to this planet.
Currently, the governor and all the noble members are being entertained by Slaanesh daemonettes and Slaanesh Sisters.
In summary, the planet is essentially lost," Seth explained the situation to Rhodes.
"I understand. Chaos Daemon Slayer, it's now your time to act."
"Every daemon on this planet is your target. Just eliminate them all," said Rhodes as he nodded to the Chaos Daemon Slayer beside him.
"Good, the Grey Knights haven't shown up. The human forces here have been wiped out in one go.
Now, these Warp daemons, Chaos Space Marines, heretics, and Slaanesh Sisters are reveling in a feast of flesh and souls.
They have no defenses in place—this is the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack."
"Leave it to me, Master!" The Chaos Daemon Slayer nodded and walked up to the Harlequins, saying, "Open the ship's hatch."
"Hahaha! You must be joking.
We'll send you down there in a small landing craft," a few Harlequins said with a laugh.
"Come on! We're in space right now. How do you plan to approach the planet below if we open the hatch?
We're far away—so far that even a Primarch couldn't make it. If you stepped outside now, you'd barely survive, let alone land on the planet's surface."
"I said, open the hatch," the Chaos Daemon Slayer said coldly.
"Are you serious? You mean to say you don't need us to send you down in a ship?"
"You heard him. Just open the hatch. You don't need to worry about the rest.
All we have to do is sit here and enjoy the show," Rhodes said as he sat nearby, crossing his legs with a grin.
"Oh! You're saying you can survive in space and even fly through it? Well, I'm going to have to see this for myself," Seth said, nodding as he ordered his men to escort the Chaos Daemon Slayer to the hatch.
They opened the airlock and let the Daemon Slayer into the vacuum of space.
Once in the void, the Chaos Daemon Slayer stretched lazily, and his body began to transform rapidly.
In the blink of an eye, he became a 40-meter-tall man clad in golden armor, draped with a cape, wearing a golden helmet, and wielding a massive sword.
"What! How is this possible? Hey, are we seeing things? He turned into a giant!"
"Man, that golden armor is incredible!"
"That's not the point! The point is, he can freely change his size and survive in space!"
As the Harlequins chatted in disbelief, the Chaos Daemon Slayer had already powered up and was flying straight toward the planet below.
"Oh, add this to the list—he can fly!" One Harlequin pointed at the golden speck that the Daemon Slayer had become.
"Lord Loki, w-what is he?" Seth approached Rod and asked.
"Don't ask questions you shouldn't. All you need to know is that he's an expert at dealing with daemons. Just focus on completing the mission Laughing God entrusted to you. Don't concern yourselves with anything else," Rhodes said.
Hearing this, Seth shrugged helplessly and picked up pen and paper.
They began watching the radar display on the ship, diligently drafting their next play:
...
"For the ultimate pleasure!" a Slaanesh Sister raised her weapon high and cheered loudly, celebrating the conquest of this human planet and the endless torture they could now enjoy.
Slaanesh Sisters are the corrupted versions of Battle Sisters. They had grown long tongues and demonic horns, looking both grotesque and seductive.
"Prepare the sacrifices! Remember, sisters—our master loves souls that have been pushed to the brink of torment," said one Slaanesh Sister, clad in blood-red armor, her face twisted with eerie beauty as she licked her long tongue.
"Yes!" a few enchanted Slaanesh Sisters giggled in reply.
Once, in their convents, they had led dull and monotonous lives. But since experiencing the supreme power of their deity, they had come to understand the unparalleled ecstasy of endless pleasure!
The joy of torturing others brought them a sense of happiness beyond imagination.
Nobles were tied to crosses, while the Slaanesh Sisters lashed out with barbed whips, saws, and knives, beginning their torment.
"Ah! Ah! This isn't what we agreed on! This isn't what I wanted!!" the planetary governor screamed in despair.
"Didn't you promise me immortality? Didn't you say I would have countless beautiful daemonettes as servants?
Infinite power? Ultimate pleasure?
Why? Why is this happening?!"
His son had already been flayed into a bloody skeleton by the Slaanesh Sisters, one of whom was now sitting astride the bony remains, laughing maniacally.
His wife had her organs ripped out but remained alive, convulsing uncontrollably.
"Don't worry, darling. You must understand—pain is the source of pleasure. You'll be in ecstasy soon.
Next, I'm going to slice the flesh off your body piece by piece and savor it slowly," a Slaanesh Sister said, holding the governor's chubby face.
"What's that?!" Another Sister suddenly pointed at the sky.
The Slaanesh Sisters all looked up. In the blood-red sky, a massive golden fireball hurtled downward before slamming into the ground.
BOOM!
With a deafening explosion, countless Slaanesh daemons were blasted into the air. The Slaanesh Sisters finally saw what stood before them.
It was a 40-meter-tall figure clad in magnificent golden armor, wearing a red cape and a golden helmet, and wielding a gigantic sword.
He stood there like a god descended from the heavens!
