Chapter 19 - Twin brothers

The sun glared down on the cracked pavement, casting long shadows around the narrow street in northern Gangbuk. Bong and Dong stood shoulder to shoulder, eyes wide as fifty boys from Pipik High closed in around them.

It felt like a trap.

No, it was a trap.

Bong gritted his teeth. "Tch. You seeing this?"

"Yeah," Dong muttered. "Looks like they came to party."

Their backs were against the cold brick wall of a closed convenience store, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. The Pipik boys were dressed in flashy outfits — a mix of oversized hoodies, silver chains, and torn jeans — most of them grinning, hyped up for a brawl.

"Let's not wait," Bong cracked his knuckles.

"I was about to say the same," Dong nodded.

Then it began.

The first wave of attackers rushed in — ten boys swinging metal bats, pipes, and bare fists.

Bong ducked the first bat, twisted, and slammed his elbow into the attacker's nose. Blood sprayed as the guy crumpled. Dong grabbed a pipe from another and kneed him in the gut, flipping him to the ground.

Two more came from behind. Bong spun, grabbed one by the collar, and threw him into his partner like they were bowling pins. Dong vaulted over a trash can, landing a spinning back kick that sent one guy flying into a car windshield.

"Twenty left!" Bong shouted.

Dong didn't answer — he was too busy smashing someone's face into a metal signpost.

More kept coming. Ten, fifteen, twenty of them. The twins fought like beasts. Their movements synchronized, wild but precise — as if they shared one mind.

Sweat dripped down their faces. Their fists bruised. Their shirts torn.

But they didn't stop.

Bong grabbed someone by the wrist and dislocated it with a twist. Dong leapt off a bench and double kicked two opponents at once. They were pushing themselves beyond their limits.

When the last boy collapsed, groaning in pain, the twins were left standing amidst a sea of broken bodies.

Fifty men, all down.

They were breathing heavily, their bodies trembling, shirts soaked in sweat, bruises blooming across their skin.

"Is that… all of them?" Dong gasped.

Bong wiped blood from his lip. "Damn… We actually did it…"

But then —

Thud.

A heavy step echoed through the silence.

Another.

And another.

The crowd of Pipik students that had been watching from a distance parted like waves.

A massive figure emerged from the center.

Jet black hair slicked back, a jawline cut from stone, and a body carved from pure muscle. His T-shirt stretched over his chest like it was about to tear apart.

Jang Woo.

Rank 4th of Pipik High.

He looked like a fitness monster. The veins in his arms throbbed, and his eyes burned with savage excitement.

Bong's eyes narrowed. "So you're the big guy, huh?"

Jang Woo didn't respond. He just walked forward slowly… dragging a steel dumbbell behind him.

Clink. Clink. Clink.

He dropped it at his feet.

Then spoke — low and cold. "Fifty guys couldn't break you. I'll make sure you can't walk away."

Bong stepped forward. "I don't care who you are—"

BOOM!

Before Bong could even finish, Jang Woo's foot slammed into his stomach.

Bong's eyes bulged — he was lifted off the ground — and sent flying into a metal shutter with a deafening crash. The impact left a dent. He dropped, coughing blood.

Dong shouted, charging in with a hook aimed at Jang Woo's jaw.

But Jang Woo caught it. With one hand.

And smiled.

"Too slow."

CRACK!

His fist collided with Dong's ribs like a wrecking ball. Bones cracked. Dong gasped, his eyes rolling back as he staggered to his knees.

Bong tried to get up. He gritted his teeth, using the wall for support. "D-Damn you…"

Jang Woo marched over. Grabbed Bong by the neck. Lifted him up.

"You guys are strong. But not strong enough for Pipik."

SMASH!

He slammed Bong into the ground, shaking the street.

Dong tried to crawl, but Jang Woo stomped on his back, pinning him.

"Look at you both. You crushed fifty of my guys. I'll give you credit…" He leaned down, whispering in Dong's ear. "But this is the difference between a fighter… and a monster."

He raised a knee — and slammed it into Dong's spine.

Dong screamed in pain.

Bong, barely conscious, dragged himself forward. "S-Stop… he's done…"

Jang Woo turned. His eyes were cold. He walked over, raised his fist —

BOOM!

— and punched Bong in the face, knocking him out instantly.

Blood splattered on the sidewalk.

The two brothers — once fierce, unbreakable — now lay unconscious in a pile of their own defeat.

The Pipik students around them clapped and cheered.

Jang Woo cracked his neck and looked at the sky.

"One down."

He smiled.

"Who's next?"
