Leon stood silently in the hallway, a class selection form resting in his hands.
"Fill out your forms quickly. I'll take you to your dorms after this," Mr. Malkof announced, his voice firm as he glanced at the gathered students.
Whispers began to rise like smoke from a fire as everyone's attention turned towards Leon.
"How the hell did that commoner pass?"
"Didn't the teacher say he failed at first?"
"He must've bribed the teacher."
"I think the teacher passed him because he is also a Commoner."
"Both of them are fucking trash."
The noble students hissed their comments, not even bothering to lower their voices. Leon could hear every word crystal clear.
