Lily's POV
I had just finished breakfast and was helping mom with the dishes. I noticed she was lost in thought
"Mom, Is something wrong?" I asked tapping her and she jolted
"No sweetie. I was just.... Thinking" she said
"Really? About what?"
"About how much you've grown. Look at you, already fourteen. You're growing up so fast" she said
"Fifteen in a few days. And then only three more years" I said
"Three more years for what?" She asked
"To go out of the Forest. Mom, I wanna see what's out there. And when I'm Eighteen...."
"Who said you're going anywhere when you're eighteen?" She interrupted
"Mom please, not this again. I'm not going to stay here forever" I said
"True, but you're also not leaving at Eighteen Unless I'm sure you're prepared" she said
"Here we go again. Prepared for what mom?" I asked
"You don't need to know..."
"But....."
"No buts, now, William's gonna be here an hour after your Geography lesson. So let's drop this topic" she said and I sighed. This was always how it ended
After we were done, we went to my study. And honestly, I didn't pay attention. I just wanted the class to be over. At least practicing the art of the sword with William would be fun. Besides, he isn't like mom and he's easy to talk to
Time passed in the blink of an eye and William arrived. I got ready in a comfortable outfit and tied my hair back in a pony tail before going to meet him
