Ethan stood frozen, eyes wide as he stared at Selene.
The power she had just unleashed was unlike anything he had ever seen. The air had thickened, charged with raw energy that pulsed from her like a living force.
However, the most impressive thing Selene did was to be able to command the beasts of this dungeon.
They still stood around, almost as if they had been frozen and seemed to have no intention of going after Selene or Ethan anymore.
And slowly, Selene started to relax and release the grip on her power until it could be felt no more.
"Selene…What was that?"
Ethan whispered, stepping closer.
Selene didn't answer.
Her eyes, once sharp and focused, now looked distant. She blinked a few times, her expression blank. Then, her knees buckled, and she collapsed.
"Selene!"
Ethan caught her before she hit the ground.
The binds holding her to the dungeon finally shattered, and the entire space began to rumble. Cracks spread across the dungeon walls.
