'We cannot stay here for long. I should start moving now.'
Selene's patience was wearing thin.
"Follow me to the bathroom in a minute,"
Selene instructed Heera in a low voice, her eyes scanning the restaurant for any signs of trouble. She couldn't afford to let anyone notice them leaving together.
"We'll start implementing the plan to keep you safe."
Heera's eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Why the bathroom? Shouldn't we sign the contract first? I don't feel comfortable proceeding without—"
She asked, her tone hesitant.
Selene cut her off with a sharp look.
"If you want us to protect you, you'll have to trust me. There's no time for contracts right now. We need to move."
She said, her voice cold and unyielding.
Heera bit her lip, her expression conflicted. Selene could see the wheels turning in her head as she weighed her options.
Finally, with a reluctant sigh, Heera gave a small nod.
"Fine! I'll do as you say."
she muttered, her pride clearly taking a hit.
