An Ran stumbled over Sun Tao's lifeless body, her knees buckling as she fell hard. Her hands slipped on the blood-soaked floor, and she screamed as she saw Sun Tao's eyes still wide open, locked in terror even in death.
What had happened? Were they not fine just moments ago… then why? Why did Han Xiu become a zombie and kill his own sworn brother? An Ran's eyes flooded with tears as she begged from the heavens.
What did they do to deserve this? Why did he steal the only man she had loved for her entire youth? And why did he have to die such a horrible death, and by his own brother…? An Ran said with a choked sob, why has the heaven been so unfair?
