HARRO.
Azalea laughed with an amused glint in her eyes as she recounted past events. "I'm still dying over how that girl looked when you told her Orion was taken." We all burst out laughing at the memory.
"Serves her right about what happened!" I exclaimed, still feeling a bit frustrated. "Who did she think she was, hitting on him like that? Didn't she see us literally cuddled up together whispering stuff into each other's ears?" The group laughed again, and Athena chimed in...
"You could've just been really good friends chilling at the club, for all she knows," she said, making me roll my eyes. The others nodded in agreement, but I was still fuming, the audacity she had.
Azalea jumped to my defense, "But friends don't kiss like that." The girls nodded vigorously, with one of them adding, "I thought it was kinda hot."
For context, the drama had unfolded just as we were about to leave the club after hanging out. Azalea and Athena had popped into the ladies' room, and that's when the bold woman had made her move on Orion. The nerve! She hadn't even believed me when I told her he was my boyfriend.
In response, Orion had taken matters into his own hands – literally. He'd grabbed my hair, pulled me in, and sealed our lips together in a scorching kiss. The woman's face had turned deathly pale before she'd fled the scene. Orion had simply shrugged it off, like it was no big deal, leaving me reeling from the intensity of that kiss. It was the single most sexy thing someone had ever done instead of explaining themselves.
Athena's question caught me off guard, "So, does that mean you're like gay now?" She looked at Orion with curiosity, and I found myself turning to him as well, eager to hear his response.
We'd been dating, but I hadn't asked him about his sexual orientation yet. Orion looked up from his breakfast plate, noticing our expectant gazes. He let out a sigh, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't know if I'm gay or not," he replied, his voice nonchalant. "I just like him," he added, gesturing towards me. A smile spread across my face, and I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest. The casual way he acknowledged his feelings was endearing, to say the least. I love the fact that he can express how he feels about me so naturally now.
Azalea's follow up question was even more surprising, "Well, have you tried being with other men?" My possessiveness flared, and I growled, turning to him.
"You're mine alone, right?" I asked, my voice was low and protective. Orion smiled, nodding reassuringly.
"I'm not interested in being with other men." he replied to Azalea, before turning to me with a sweet smile. "I'm all yours," he said, his voice filled with affection. My smile widened, feeling a rush of happiness.
Azalea snorted, muttering under her breath, "Now I know who wears the pants in the relationship." Meanwhile, Athena squealed with delight, exclaiming, "You two are so sweet!" Orion's face flushed with an adorable blush.
We're currently sitting around my kitchen island enjoying a leisurely brunch, I can't help but feel grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. We'd slept in after a late night at the club, and now, on this lazy Saturday morning, we were savoring a delicious meal together.
Orion and Athena had crashed at my place, mostly because he'd been the designated sober one and didn't want to deal with taking us home and then heading back to his own place. But I was thrilled to have him spend the weekend with me.
I'd also noticed that Orion seemed more at ease around Azalea now. The initial tension between them had dissipated, and he no longer seemed bothered by her flirtatious nature or the fact that we shared lovers. It was a relief to see them getting along, and I was happy seeing everyone enjoy each other's company.
Athena's excited question cut through my thoughts, "A marathon of Blacklist after breakfast, anyone?" was met with Orion's mock groan. "Why is it always that series?" he muttered under his breath, making me chuckle at his expression.
I leaned in, whispering, "Don't worry, we'll cuddle while watching TV, so you can sleep through it." I kissed his cheek, then took our plates to the sink.
Turning to Athena, I said, "We're in, but I need to take a quick shower first. I stink from cooking." Athena replied with a quick "Got it!"
Orion walked over to me, sniffing me with a serious expression. "You don't stink," he said, looking at me with a funny glint in his eye. I laughed, "Why, thank you, babe. But I still need to take a quick shower, and you're coming with me." A slow smile spread across his face as he shook his head in amusement.
"You're really milking the fact that I can't say no to you, aren't you?" Orion asked with a raised eyebrow, a smile playing on his lips.
I smirked, wrapping my arms around his muscular torso from behind. "Not that you can't say no to me, you just love saying yes to me, babe. There's a difference!" I whispered, my breath tickling his ear.
He leaned into my touch, and I felt a shiver run down his spine as I playfully bit his earlobe. We pulled apart, laughing, just as one of the girls yelled, "Get a room, you two!" The teasing reminder that we weren't alone was all that kept me from taking things further, right here in the kitchen.
Orion shot me a knowing glance, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Wipe that grin off your face, your dirty thoughts are showing," he teased.
I chuckled, feigning innocence. "I don't know what you're talking about," I said, trying to sound convincing. But Orion just shook his head, calling my bluff.
I took his hand, pulling him toward my bedroom. As soon as the door closed behind us, I pinned him against the wall, our lips meeting in a passionate kiss. Orion smiled, his eyes sparkling with mischief, as he whispered, "You were saying?"
I raised an eyebrow, playing along. "I still don't know what you're talking about," I whispered back, making him laugh. With a mischievous grin, I pulled him into the bathroom, ready to indulge in some much-needed alone time.
"Hands up," I commanded, indicating for him to raise his arms. I pulled his shirt above his head, and a grin spread across my lips as I took in the sight of his bare torso.
My eyes roamed over his body, and I couldn't help but smirk when they landed on the waistband of his pants. I noticed the way his breathing quickened as my fingers brushed against his skin, sending a shiver through his body.
I gently undid his zipper and pulled down his pants, my eyes never leaving his body as he stepped out of them. He tossed the pants into the laundry basket, and I took a step closer, my gaze wandering from the tip of his toes to the top of his head.
Damn, he's fucking gorgeous. His perfectly sculpted body seemed chiseled from marble, and his confidence was fucking sexy. He returned my gaze with a smirk, his eyes sparkling with amusement. This was a far cry from the awkward, squirming Orion he used to be under my gaze. Now, he stood before me, bold and beautiful, his confidence radiating like a beacon. It was incredibly sexy, and it makes him even more irresistible.
Orion and I finally made our way downstairs to the sitting room, where the girls were laughing and giggling. We'd taken our time, savoring the warmth of our shower together.
Athena's eyes were wide with incredulity as she stared at Azalea. "No freaking way!" she exclaimed. "You signed up for that willingly? Why?" Azalea's giggles grew louder, and I could tell Orion was just as curious as I was about what had them in stitches.
I plopped down beside Orion on the couch, wrapping my arms around him. "What's got you two so amused?" I asked, looking from one girl to the other, eager to be let in on the joke.
Azalea filled me in, "I told her about the retreat." I nodded, understanding, as I said, "Oh, makes sense." Orion, however, was still confused, asking, "What retreat?"
Resting my head on his lap, I looked up at him and explained, "It's this wellness thing my grandmother attends once a year." Athena chimed in, adding more details, "It's in the mountains with no phone or any form of communication to the outside world."
Orion's eyes widened in surprise, and I couldn't help but laugh. I shared my own experience, "I tried it once and wanted out by the second day, but couldn't because it takes at least a week to get off the mountain." Orion's eyes grew even wider, clearly amazed.
Athena turned to Azalea, her voice filled with a mix of disbelief and admiration, "And you survived a whole month?"
Azalea shrugged, "I quite like the place, actually. They have everything... well, except phones. And it means I get to do nothing for a month except eat, sleep, and yoga."
I scoffed, "You don't do anything even when you're home, anyway." Azalea smirked, "You don't have to do anything either, don't make me out to be the lazy one." I shook my head, acknowledging she had a point. With my family's wealth and my own business success, we didn't have to work for cash if we chose not to.
Athena's eyes widened in surprise, "Whoa... so you two are like, rich-rich? The kind I've only heard about but never met?" She looked at us with a mix of amusement and awe, and I laughed.
Athena continued, "Well, I have to keep working and making crazy money, so my parents don't sell me off to the highest bidder when they finally figure out I'm not going to marry Orion." She added with a fake pout, "Thanks for that, by the way." She turned to me for a fist bump, which I returned with a chuckle.
Azalea declared with a playful smile, "I'll marry you if the worst comes to worst." Athena gasped dramatically, feigning surprise.
"You would do that for little old me?" Athena asked, wiping away a fake tear before enveloping Azalea in a hug. She kissed Azalea's cheeks, exclaiming, "Thank you so much!" We laughed at their lighthearted drama.
However, Athena's initial comment lingered in my mind, stirring a nagging feeling. What exactly would their parents do when they discover their children's deceits? The thought sent a shiver down my spine, but I pushed it aside. Worrying about it now wouldn't do any good. We'd cross that bridge when we came to it.
I smiled as Orion's hand gently tangled in my hair. He mouthed down to me, "I love you." his face was radiant with affection.
Instead of responding verbally, I reached up and wrapped my hand around the back of his neck, pulling his head down. Our lips met in a tender kiss, and we heard one of the girls exclaim, "Seriously, can't you two keep your hands off each other for a minute?"
We pulled apart, laughing, and I thought to myself, that's right. There's no point worrying about the future right now. What matters most is that I'll cherish every moment with him, loving him as much as I can. And when that uncertain future arrives, I'll love him even more.
