Around it, his generals — Kaelon, Orzoth, and Varian — waited silently, along with the leaders of the villages recently integrated into the kingdom.
"I received the report from the Lost Wings about the creature they faced on the borders," the young king began, straight to the point. "It was a primordial dragon."
Silence fell instantly. Only the faint pulsing of runes broke the stillness in the air.
"But the fact it didn't continue the attack," Drayk went on, "indicates it was either seriously wounded or was merely testing our strength."
"Why would a primordial do that now?" — Varian muttered, arms crossed.
