Unlike what Rhodes saw in the dream space, Lumen was not a maiden with long hair. No wonder the woman in white barely resembled the little girl in his resurging memory. Lumen's astral form only copied her face. Her dark hair was a short, angled bob with a wispy fringe. Her round body was complemented by a column dress under her cardigan.
A small smile curled her lips. Lumen figured Rhodes was placing her astral form with her real body side-by-side. She chuckled. Her slightly deep voice didn't even resemble the playful tone of the white maiden. "Is the disconnect really that bad, Rhodes?"
"Do you have control over your astral form? You look so different." Rhodes could only hide an apology. His mind took a while to accept the massive differences.
Then again, it came from a man who hid his movie star looks under a skin-and-bones man with deep eyebags and shagged medium hair. Not to mention that he had a spit guard to hide half his face.
