Yu stretched his body out lazily, his fur was ruffled, and his paws kneaded on the ground slowly.
[See Yu? Isn't this better then being a pesky human] The parrot looked at Yu with a pair of abnormal eyes.
Human ones. The parrots Irises where a ghastly dark brown. Yu's own mimicked the common human eyes as well.
They where currently being comfortable in Yu's home. The cat beds and treats littered every surface.
Yu looked at the parrot who had brought him into this half human half cat state. Apparently, humanoids lived everywhere, but only a few survive their souls being torn apart and brought back together.
Currently, there was only Yu, a 22 year old man who absolutely loved pets, and Blue, the parrot who offered a curious Yu the chance to be humanoid.
Be in both words seamlessly.
"Well, it isn't the worst," Yu meowed, "I just hate the transformation. It hurts."
Blue flew towards Yu, who sat next to the window, looking out of his small apartment at the people walking up and down the streets.
[Well, that's what we get when transforming] Blue started to transform, bones cracked and shifted while Yu covered his soft white cat ears and cringed.
"Blue what in the-" Yu quickly turned away."-Holy hairball."
[Hey! Quit acting like I'm a pervert.] She rolled her eyes and collected a sheet in laundry, wrapping herself as she skipped towards the fridge.
Yu quietly watched her as she raided his fridge. He never expected to be turned into a cat, not that he wasn't fine with it.
He always loved their silky fur, their ability to turn heads with their huge eyes and their agile abilities. When Yu first walked his furry self into his closet mirror, he gushed at himself for hours, making cute poses.
Blue had been rescued by his human form, her wing was broken and she had recuperated at his house, until one day she spoke to him.
Reminiscing, Yu sighed, licking his canine teeth he leaped down from the window and strutted towards the fridge.
"Meow~"
[Yu, we're all out of that cat tuna] she rolled her eyes. Yu glared at her as best as a cat could, upturning his butt at her as she watched his back, her hand scooping large globs of bird feed into her mouth.
"Hey Blue, won't those feral cats be coming in a little bit?" Yu realized, he panicked, his bones cracking as he gulped down as much air as he could, tears staining his eyes.
He returned to his human form, his brown hazelnut skin trembled at the coldness. He realized he had gotten too used to his cat fur holding the chilliness back as he stumbled for a pair of jeans.
Blue paused, gulping down her last bird seed and nodding [I guess so].
Yu opened the door at the old meows and scratches his door faced every afternoon.
"Hi there," Yu gushed. He gathered all his best quality cat food and started feeding them.
Yu glanced around in expectance. He had seen a gorgeous black cat, strong, resilient, and downright handsome show up outside his door one time. He ate with the others, and Yu couldn't help being attracted to him. His ghost fur blew up, and his body almost let out a strangled purr towards the cat. But alas, that time he was human.
Yu sighed as he watched all the old regular but still cute cats eat his prized food.
Yu reprimanded himself. Yes, he was gay, but did that also go towards male cats? Yu was having a physiological problem. He shook his head and bent down, rubbing each grandpa's forehead until they all turned, ignoring the human who had a strange fondness for them.
Blue picked at her feathers, her clean, shiny look made her satisfied. [I'm tired Yu]
Yu nodded and approached his most fluffiest cat beds next to her and transformed.
"Goodnight Blue" Yu meowed.
