Copying a technique in real-time did not equate to fully learning it.

The genjutsu capabilities of the three-tomoe Sharingan were also tied to its structural design.
Genjutsu through the Sharingan was activated by eye contact, using the tomoe as a medium to induce the illusion.
As for the Sharingan's resistance to genjutsu, Uchiha Kiyo theorized that the constant rotation of the three tomoe functioned similarly to a specialized sealing formula, automatically dispelling illusions upon detection.
Regarding the Mangekyō Sharingan's unique abilities, Uchiha Kiyo had his own theories. However, since he had neither awakened the Mangekyō himself nor personally examined one, these ideas remained speculative.
