After making up his mind, Uchiha Kiyo did not waste any time. The grand formation covering the entire island was an intricate masterpiece he had spent years designing, layering multiple sealing techniques for maximum effectiveness. However, activating such a vast formation required an immense amount of chakra—far beyond what a single ninja could provide.
Uchiha Kiyo rubbed his chin in thought.
"Even if I enhance my chakra reserves further, sustaining the grand formation indefinitely is impossible. I need an external chakra source—something powerful enough to fuel it without interruption."
His first thought was a Tailed Beast. These massive chakra entities were walking power plants, capable of providing energy for the formation while also serving as a potential research subject. The problem, however, was capturing one.
"Tushi, I need you to handle this." Uchiha Kiyo transmitted his thoughts to his clone.
Tushi, who had been peacefully researching in another location, suddenly froze. "...Why me? Shouldn't the main body handle something this dangerous?"
Uchiha Kiyo smirked. "A clone dying isn't a big deal. A new one can always be created. But if I die, then everything ends."
Tushi sighed in resignation. "Fine, I'll look into it. But capturing a Tailed Beast is no easy feat. Even the Akatsuki required multiple members and complex sealing jutsu to handle them."
"I don't need you to seal it immediately," Uchiha Kiyo clarified. "Just locate a suitable target, analyze its behavior, and find a way to restrain it temporarily. I'll handle the sealing process myself."
Tushi grumbled but nodded. "Alright. I'll gather intel on the best options. The Three-Tails and Six-Tails are known to be more isolated, so they might be easier to subdue."
With that settled, Uchiha Kiyo returned his focus to the grand formation. It wasn't just a simple barrier—he had incorporated multiple layers, including chakra absorption, sensory disruption, and even an offensive retaliation mechanism in case of intruders. But all of these required a sustainable power source.
"If I can't secure a Tailed Beast soon, I'll have to create an alternative solution," he muttered to himself.
One possible alternative was a chakra generator—a series of sealing arrays designed to store and gradually release chakra. It wouldn't be as efficient as a Tailed Beast, but with enough time and refinement, it could serve as a temporary measure.
Just then, a sudden thought struck him.
"Wait... If I incorporate nature energy into the formation, could I create a self-sustaining cycle?"
His eyes gleamed with excitement. Sage energy was abundant in the environment, and if harnessed correctly, it could provide a near-limitless supply of chakra. Of course, integrating Sage energy into sealing techniques was incredibly complex—few had attempted it before. But if he succeeded, the benefits would be immense.
"I need to research this further," Uchiha Kiyo decided. "But first, I need to ensure my fusion techniques are stable. If I can refine my control over Melting Release, it will open up even more possibilities."
He stepped outside and formed a series of hand seals. Chakra surged through his body as he activated his next experiment—testing the compatibility of his new techniques with the forging realm.
The path to mastering all elements and bloodline limits was long, but Uchiha Kiyo had never been more determined.
