The Titan Giant Ape's Capture

"No! Xiao Wu!"

Tang San, with his Purple Demon Eyes, saw the scene more clearly than the others—Xiao Wu being snatched away by the Titan Giant Ape. A furious roar escaped his lips.

He immediately gave chase, using Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track to boost his speed. But compared to the Titan Giant Ape, his efforts were futile.

The giant ape deliberately left behind massive obstacles—toppled trees, shattered boulders—blocking any pursuers. In the blink of an eye, it vanished into the depths of the forest.

Inside the Titan Giant Ape's Grasp

Lin Dongyao steadied himself in the Titan Giant Ape's massive palm and saw Xiao Wu beside him.

"Xiao Wu, don't worry. I'll protect you," he said reassuringly.

Xiao Wu rolled her eyes. "Please. You're a support-type spirit master. Just focus on not getting yourself killed—I don't need you making me babysit you."

But why did Er Ming bring him along? she wondered inwardly.

Lin Dongyao's expression darkened. "If only I were an attack-type spirit master… But no, I had to be stuck as a support."

Seeing his dejection, Xiao Wu softened. "Hey, don't take it to heart. We'll be fine."

"You're right. I can't even protect myself, yet I had the nerve to say I'd protect you," Lin Dongyao muttered bitterly.

"That's not what I meant! Your healing is incredible—way better than most support-types. Remember at the Great Spirit Arena last week? You healed my injuries instantly."

"So listen—if we work together, we can get back to Teacher Zhao."

Lin Dongyao nodded. "Alright. I'll follow your lead. But… this Titan Giant Ape is enormous. Even Teacher Zhao's Spirit Avatar couldn't budge it. Is it… a hundred-thousand-year beast?"

"Probably. But look at us—tiny compared to it. Once it stops, we'll slip away unnoticed," Xiao Wu said confidently.

The Lake of the Beast Kings

The Titan Giant Ape halted at the edge of a vast lake—but instead of releasing them, it leaped onto a small island in the center.

Surrounded by water, Xiao Wu's escape plan crumbled.

Then, the lake's surface rippled violently.

A massive bull-headed serpent emerged, its sheer size dwarfing even the Titan Giant Ape.

"Xiao Wu… we're doomed," Lin Dongyao whispered, face pale.

Xiao Wu stiffened. "Da Ming too?! What's going on?"

The Revelation

"Er Ming, why did you bring Xiao Wu-jie?" the Azure Sky Bull Python (Da Ming) chided in a deep, rumbling voice.

The Titan Giant Ape (Er Ming) grunted and gestured vaguely.

"Ugh, fine. What's done is done," Da Ming sighed.

Lin Dongyao's jaw dropped. "They… they can talk?! That confirms it—they're hundred-thousand-year spirit beasts!"

But Xiao Wu wasn't listening. She planted her hands on her hips and glared. "Da Ming! Seven or eight years apart, and this is how you greet me?!"

"Xiao Wu-jie, I didn't mean—"

"Xiao Wu, are you… talking to them?!" Lin Dongyao blurted, utterly bewildered.

Ignoring him, Xiao Wu huffed. "Then what DID you mean?"

Er Ming tried to interject with clumsy gestures, but Xiao Wu cut him off. "Er Ming, shut it."

The giant ape drooped like a scolded puppy.

Da Ming relented. "We actually came for him." His massive eyes locked onto Lin Dongyao.

"Him?!" Xiao Wu whirled around, staring at Lin Dongyao. "Is he… a transformed spirit beast? No, he doesn't feel like one."

"What?! I'm 100% human!" Lin Dongyao protested.

Da Ming exhaled, sending ripples across the lake. "You are human, but you carry spirit beast blood. Your mother left something for you."

From his maw, he produced:

A vibrant, blood-red flower (the Lovey-Dovey Heartbroken Red).

A severed stalk of Blue Silver Grass, pulsing with faint blue light.

Xiao Wu gasped. "Blue Silver Empress?! So he's… Auntie's child?!"

"That explains it! No ordinary Blue Silver Grass could reach Spirit Grandmaster rank with innate spirit power of eight!"

A Mother's Message

"My… mother?" Lin Dongyao's voice cracked. "You've seen her?! Where is she?!"

"Knowing now would only harm you," Da Ming said gently. "She asked us to give you this flower. Consuming it may awaken your true bloodline—evolving your Blue Silver Grass into the Blue Silver Emperor."

"She also… wanted to apologize. For not being there as you grew up."

Er Ming grunted in agreement, though his words were unintelligible.

As Lin Dongyao clutched the Blue Silver Grass stalk, a surge of familial connection flooded him—a bittersweet sorrow, longing, and… hope.

"Is she… still alive?" he whispered.

"Yes. You'll reunite someday. But for now—strengthen yourself. Survive."

Lin Dongyao's grip tightened. "I will. I'll become so strong… that when she sees me, she'll be proud."

The Transformation Begins

Following Da Ming's instructions, Lin Dongyao sat cross-legged, holding the Lovey-Dovey Heartbroken Red.

He glanced at Xiao Wu once—then closed his eyes.

The flower's roots detached from its stone base, accepting him as its master.

He consumed it.

"Huh? Why'd he look at me?" Xiao Wu puzzled.

"Still… to think Auntie's son was at Shrek all along." She watched as Lin Dongyao's body began radiating energy.

"Da Ming, Er Ming—since I'm here, I'll absorb my third spirit ring now."

The two beast kings nodded.

Xiao Wu knelt nearby, summoning her spirit and rings—beginning her own breakthrough.
