Brandon finally let out a deep breath and the stiffness in his back had lessened considerably under Dhayun's effective foot massage, but there were still lingering knots in his lower spine and shoulders.
He flexed his arms forward and started to push himself up from the couch as he straightened up.
"Oof…" he muttered, arching his back slightly as he sat upright, rolling his shoulders.
"Better, but not perfect."
Looking at him, Dhayun tilted her head "Still sore?"
He nodded "Yeah. The part near my lower spine is still tight."
Dhayun gently stepped behind him, knelt onto the couch, and brought her hands gently to his shoulders "Alright. Stay still. I'll finish the job properly."
Without waiting for further protest, her fingers began to work into his shoulder muscles as her thumbs dug into the base of his neck.
Her touch, though firm, held a gentleness that made it easy to lean into.
