Sitting in her classroom, Han Dhayun stared out the window, her cheek resting against her hand as the sunlight filtered through the glass.
Outside, the trimmed lawns of the academy swayed gently beneath the wind.
Her heart still hadn't calmed as she again recalled her conversation with Brandon today.
'Why does it hurt so much...'
Suddenly, a light tap on her knee snapped her out of her thoughts.
Blinking, she turned her head slightly and saw her classmate, Jiwon, giving her an exasperated look.
"What?" Dhayun asked, her voice turning soft with fatigue.
Jiwon gave a small shake of her head "What do you mean, 'what'? The professor's halfway through a lecture and you haven't taken a single note. You've been staring out the window for a while now."
Dhayun gave a weak shrug and leaned forward, slumping onto her desk.
Her hair spilled across her notebook "I'm just thinking…"
