Simon ran up to both of the girls and asked them
"Are you 2 okay? Also, I'm sorry I took so long to cast a spell"
Lucia answered Simon with a tired voice
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit of fatigue..."
Selene, hearing Lucia's only problem helps her by using a buff to take away her fatigue. Lucia smiled at Selene as a thank you.
Selene comments on Simon's apology
"It's fine especially since you are casting a spell from memory alone-"
Selene looks at Simon's hand to see a tome
"Wait you have a tome? Let me see that. What is it about?"
Simon gave Selene his tome but comments on Selene's 1st question
"Well, yeah, didn't I say I was going to summon my tome?"
Selene ignored Simon and kept reading but as she finished reading she noticed there were no spells only some studies about an old possibly not even real pantheon, but she was intrigued by the name
"Is this even a tome? It doesn't have any spells written on it, and also the name "Secret of The Forgotten Stars" may make another clan also interested in stars and stuff, but those people are weird. Anyway, answer me on this: where are the spells?"
Simon raises his eyebrow at the information about another clan interested in the research about stars, and so he asks his sister for information
"What do you mean? What clan? If you tell me I'll tell you some things about the spells"
Selene shrugs but still responds to Simon's question, and eagerly asks about the spell
"The clan is... Wait let me recall... Oh, right, that's it! "Starveil Covenant". There, I've said it already, now what about the spells?!"
Simon interrupts Selene's rant with another question
"Hm, but why have big never heard of them before?"
Before Selene can answer Lucia answers Simon's question
"It's because they're old, very old older than both of our clans apparently of all the clans here they were the first to obtain magic, and they were once on top with their gods but their gods suddenly disappeared one day Some people say it's because of an event erased form history or something completely unknown to us."
Simon's curiosity was still insatiable but he let it go for now with the intent to research it later, but for now, he thanked Lucia and answered Selene's question about the spell
"Thanks, Lucia. Anyway, the spells are, for some reason, hidden from everyone except for me; probably an enchantment on this tome? Anyway, it's some spells about fire and war? I mean it is inspired by the Saggitarius constellation."
Selene was intrigued by the fact of how strong the enchantment may be for her not to even sense it
"The enchantment must be pretty strong considering I didn't even sense the enchantment, let's continue exploring might as well defeat the robots"
Lucia and Simon nod at Selene who leads them into the cave, and whilst they are going in deeper they see a small figure maybe that of a 8 year-old, they watch carefully from the shadows and watch the figure they can't see his face but they saw the boy was wearing a mechanic vest with goggles, the figure's hair was brown close to Hazel.
They moved to a place where they could see more of the surroundings and saw the figure have a scar close on his left eye, they looked at the child's front to only notice that the robot they fought was getting fixed by a child, and then another robot went by the figure's side holding a book.
The robot was different than the big and strong one it looked lean and sleek almost designed to be agile like an assassin or a rouge, it still had that mechanical theme with it having gear for its arms and legs acting like a ligament and tendon, it's feet were made of wheels for it to move extremely fast on.
A sudden noise from outside alerted the robot, and it rushed to the noise; Simon and the others followed the robot closely and silently, but due to its extreme speed, they lost the robot's trace.
Simon and the others decide to wait for the robot to come back, but as they are waiting, a ninja star is thrown from the shadows of the tree. Then, a cold mechanical voice from the robot was heard, giving a hint about its existence.
"Threat detected, level unknown. Battle guide activating. Gen 1 Mechanomica Cogveil Stalker battle ai online."
After the robot said that it suddenly became so fast it seemed like it was teleporting. Simon took charge and commanded Lucia to stand in front so she could react by defending or counter-attacking.
"Lucia, go in front, protect us; Selene, give Lucia some strength buffs and speed buffs so she can fight back if you can rebuff the enemy!"
A part of the robot's arm looked as if it was gonna fall off, but it retacts to reveal another pair of ninja stars that almost hit Lucia; Lucia lowered her guard, but before she knew it, the ninja stars exploded.
Lucia was thrown back by the force; fortunately, she was fine, but the force had a powerful pack to it, so she needed to rest for some time.
Selene rushes to Lucia and heals her while Simon tries to distract the robot but it ignores him rushing towards Selene and Lucia for an easy kill, Simon gets its attention by using a spell
"Hey, I'm your enemy here! [Pheonix Spark]"
A Phoenix-like flame manifests from Simon's will and hits the enemy, but it barely damages it, almost as if its armor is magic-resistant.
From the robot's forearm, it extends a blade and uses it to slash at Simon. Before he is cut in half, he uses cosmic magic to create a gravitational force upwards, sending him flying toward the sky so he can dodge the attack.
Simon jumped down nervously, yet he kept on dodging the robot's near-perfect slashes, leaving almost no openings for spells. Simon saw a momentary opening due to the robot's old frame leaving it slow yet still deadly
"[Inferno Grasp]"
Chains made of flames manifest under the robot, leaving it defenseless. Suddenly, Lucia lunges forward, making the robot's sword break in half, and so it collapses its half sword back into its forearms.
Before Lucia could finish off the robot a small crossbow formed on the robot's wrist sending an arrow flying, Lucia parried it and sent the arrow flying away, Lucia taunted the robot before finishing it off
"Hah! Do you really think I would fall for the same trick twice? Think again! Oh wait, you can't. You're dead."
Before any of them could react, a pair of small flying mechanical arms, similar to what took the robot giant earlier, appeared from the cave and dragged the out-of-commission robot back.
Simon and the others follow it with the intent to find out about the one who made this all.
The scene shifts deep into the cave and the figure from the earlier face is revealed it is indeed a child with Hazel hair and green eyes, the child spoke with a sigh disappointed at the result
"It's a shame this giant robot's AI is broken... I needed more resources to fix this but who would believe me a child... If only this one was fixed, it might be killed whoever attacked it."
