Chapter 57 - The Conference

Zara sat in front of her mirror, her face perfectly dolled up in her favorite nude makeup.

She wore a tailored burgundy blazer and pants, pairing it with a soft milk-colored shirt, purse, and heels. Her style was sharp, clean, and breathtaking. 

""How do I look?" she asked, casually pulling her hair back into her signature ponytail.

"Gorgeous, sweetheart. They won't dare to reject your pitch today," Nana said, crouching to help her slip on her slingshot heels.

Zara shut her eyes, breathing in deeply and slowly.

It was finally D-Day. August 6th.

Her only trouble now was winning over the spokesperson. Everything else had been cleared.

Zavier told her the custody hearing had been adjourned two days ago, giving her the time—and peace of mind—to focus. She was ready. More than ever.

She reached for her silver jewelry collection, sifting through polished options before settling on a classic Cartier set.
