Auri put on the freshly laundered tunic and pants he just retrieved from the bathhouse. Although the robe the attendant had lent him was more favorable to wear against the blistering heat of the desert, his body just couldn't help but seek the type of clothes he was more comfortable wear.
Beside him, Timofey was sweating profusely under his padded coat. He looked like a melting snowball with his flushed cheeks and damp hair. His clothes were definitely a terrible match to the desert's weather.
"Why is it so hot here?" Timofey whined as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead. "I like it better at home. It's cold and snows a lot. I get to build snowmen too!"
Auri chucked. "Next time, don't follow strangers in big carriages, so you won't end up in a place too far away from home."
The child's lips only pulled into a pout, making Auri laugh some more.
