Arya's eyes widened in disbelief. "It's them," she whispered. "The ones who took Clark and Nicole..."
Everyone stiffened.
Everyone instinctively raised their weapons — guns trembling, eyes wide — but the figures didn't react.
They didn't raise their machine guns — No one fired a shot.
They didn't speak.
They didn't even look at the survivors.
Instead, they walked past them, ignoring the group entirely.
Jake froze mid-aim. "What the hell...?"
Zack looked from the black figures to the room's entrance, his brows furrowing. "Why now? Why come back now?"
One of the armored soldiers knelt beside the seeker's smoldering remains and placed a gloved hand on its chest. With a soft hiss, a scanner extended from the soldier's wrist, projecting a flickering holographic display above the fallen machine. Strange glyphs and unreadable code flashed across the screen.
Arya narrowed her eyes. "They're not here for us."
