Ellie screamed suddenly — not from pain, but panic. "Something touched me!" she shouted.
Mark tightened his grip on her. "Ignore it! Keep moving!"
Zack was ahead of them both now, eyes locked on a capsule drifting near the center of the chamber. He ducked under with a deep breath, swimming hard toward it. His fingers grazed the side — then caught hold. He pulled it against his body and kicked up, breaking the surface with a gasp.

Water kept rising. It was already at their necks — soon it will be over their heads.
Arya narrowed her gaze, eyes scanning left and right. She saw Olivia nearing the checkpoint platform, and Jake finally wearing the vest and putting they keycard on the left pocket of it.
Zack and Ambrose was turning towards the platform now too. Each of them already wearing a vest with keycards on their pocket. However, Mark and Ellie barely made it halfway.
Arya, on the other hand, hadn't gotten hers yet.
