Chapter 195 - Chapter 195: Trouble

In the end, Roa was still kicked out to find so-called teammates.

As the largest ceremony for offering sacrifices to the five great Elemental Lords, the Spirit Blade Dance Festival varies in rules and methods depending on the mood of the Elemental Lords, and each time is different.

For instance, the Spirit Blade Dance Festival fifteen years ago was an unrestricted battle mode where multiple people fought simultaneously, similar to a battle Royale, with the last person standing declared the winner.

Three years ago, the festival was an individual competition, conducted in a one-on-one elimination format; defeating the opponent in front of you would lead to victory.

This year's Blade Dance Festival is based on team battles, where participants must form teams of five to compete. However, forming a team of five is not absolute; even participating alone is not a problem.

Roa had the idea of participating alone and applied to Greyworth, only to be directly rejected.

Greyworth's exact words were: "Although I know you are strong, and even the Twelve Knights are not your opponents, you still need teammates when facing the world's top spirit users, especially since there will be selections this time."

The Areishia Spirit Academy, as the institution dedicated to training spirit users for the Ordesia Empire, has three slots for the Spirit Blade Dance Festival.

These three slots are determined by competitive rankings, deciding who can participate in the final Blade Dance Festival.

After all, if any random five-person team could participate in the Spirit Blade Dance Festival, it would be too devalued.

Thus, a selection process was established.

The selection process means that the Areishia Spirit Academy will rank the students within the academy. During this period, students can earn points through various tasks issued by the academy or team battles, competing against each other. Only those ranked in the top three will qualify for the Blade Dance Festival.

The three teams that qualify will represent the Ordesia Empire and the Areishia Spirit Academy at the Spirit Blade Dance Festival, where they will be sent to the Astral Zero to participate in front of the Elemental Lords.

Roa sighed, lamenting that Greyworth was indeed someone who enjoyed creating troublesome situations. Just the thought of teaming up with those problematic young ladies made him feel a bit irritated.

But when it came to finding teammates, Roa instinctively thought of Claire and Ellis.

However, seeing Ellis's demeanor, it seemed she had already decided to team up with someone else, making it a bit difficult to find others.

Roa woke up early; even if he visited the headmaster and returned to his dorm, it wouldn't be too late. If he calculated the time, it was actually similar to when he went to find Claire yesterday.

After hesitating for a moment, Roa decided to look for Claire and ask if she had any suitable candidates in mind.

But thinking about it, given her poor social skills, it was highly likely she wouldn't have any.

Even if she didn't, Roa should at least invite her.

As he walked through the academy's corridors, Roa frowned and looked up at a rooftop.

He had just sensed a gaze watching him, but when he looked up, he found no one.

Roa raised an eyebrow; he certainly didn't think he was imagining things.

Activating his perception, Roa scanned the area but found no one spying on him.

A smirk appeared on Roa's face, revealing an intrigued expression. He murmured, "Interesting, this academy seems to hide some other things?"

Magic energy began to spread across the ground, and Roa was not planning to let it go easily.

In the distance, a girl stood on the treetops, her cheeks adorned with a mischievous smile.

She wore a dark-colored dress that matched her black hair, which shone beautifully under the sunlight. A black bow was pinned to one side of her hair, complementing her appearance and adding a unique charm.

The girl had an exquisite face, with an ethereal expression and otherworldly beauty. Her pitch-black eyes seemed capable of drawing anyone who gazed into them into an endless abyss.

This girl, with beautiful black hair and lovely dusk-colored eyes, was most strikingly marked by a pair of black wings behind her. She watched Roa disappear down the corridor with an intrigued expression.

"Your perception is quite sharp; even observing requires caution, huh?"

Just as the girl finished speaking, a voice came from behind her.

"What do you want? You were the one spying on me just now, weren't you?"

Roa, not knowing when he had appeared beneath the treetops, looked up at the girl above.

"Oh dear, have I been discovered? Your senses are indeed sharp; just a glance is enough to catch your attention. However, this isn't the right time for us to meet."

With that, the girl spread her wings and soared into the air, scattering black feathers, and ultimately vanished without a trace.

This time, she left no trace behind.

Roa raised an eyebrow, a strange glint flashing in his eyes.

The feedback from his magic told him that this girl possessed immense divine energy; such a vast amount of divine energy should not be underestimated, even by Roa. His intuition told him that there was definitely something off about her.

In the distance, a figure silently appeared in the garden. Even though she appeared so abruptly, no one could detect her presence.

On her table lay a cup of red tea, and she took a small sip, revealing a pleased expression. She looked up at the sun in the sky and murmured, "If it's him, he should be able to inherit all the powers, right?"

Then, as if recalling something, a dazed expression crossed her face.

"…it seems he is more suited for this power than you."

This black-haired girl was merely a minor interlude for Roa.

After mentally noting this incident, Roa set off towards Claire's room.

He knocked on the door, and a slightly lazy voice came from inside, "Is that you, Roa?"

It's quite unfortunate that the only person who could come to Claire's room was Roa.

Roa simply responded, and footsteps approached the door, stopping in front of it. The door opened, revealing Claire's pretty face.

Compared to a few days ago, Claire had undoubtedly been up for a while, dressed in a pristine academy uniform, the pleats of her skirt swaying slightly as she opened the door.
